Well, we are two months into our new Moose Year already. Time really does fly whtn you are having fun! I hope everyone was able to attend the District Picnic June 18th. Those of you that were not able to attend really missed out on a wonderful time. Our Permanent Picnic Chairman Ben Pendleton, assisted by his fabulous twin sister Malinda, out did themselves as usual. They co-ordinated games and events for the young and old alike. I refer to “old” as being of age to become a L.O.O.M. or Chapter member, and the “young” as not being of age to become a member. There was lots of delicious food and beverages. The Downey Chapter prepared a great potato salad to accompany the sandwiches being sold. They also assisted with events being held and helped out wherever they were needed. THE LADIES IN THE DOWNEY CHAPTER ALWAYS COME THROUGH WHEN NEEDED. USUALLY ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT WOULD REASONABLY BE EXPECTED OF THEM. THEY DO NOT GET THE THANKS OR THE CREDIT THEY DESERVE AS OFTEN AS THEY SHOULD. ON BEHOLF OF THE DOWNEY LO.O.M., I WANT TO THANK THEM NOW. NOT ONLY FOR WHAT THEY DID AT THE PICNIC, BUT FOR WHAT THEY DO FOR OUR LODGE EVERYDAY. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Keep your eyes and ears open for more fun events throughout the rest of the year. There will be lots of activities being planned by the Lodges, Chapters, M.L.A.C.’s and the Moose Legion 6. I look forward to seeing you at the Lodge and at upcoming events. Mike Garner Administrator
