One hundred people joined us for a fabulous Melbourne Cup lunch in the Tailem Bend Town Hall. The food was amazing prawn cocktails and spring rolls entrees followed by a smorgasbord main and finished with a beautiful array of sweets including pavlova, slices and more…. Mmm take me back.

We are looking forward to our annual Christmas luncheon on Friday 12 December where we celebrate our Golden Oldies and Volunteers. Everyone is welcome to attend on the day for $10 per head. We will enjoy a meal prepared by the Friends of the Hospital and entertained by the wonderful Mike Bristow. Please call Claudia to book you seat or book in for the 2015 Christmas Proms. The Proms at the Festival theatre are normally $45 per ticket with subsidies and HACC funding we are able to provide a bus, lunch and entry for $30 per person. I am sure you will agree if this is just a snapshot we have the best Community Centre ever! ‘ADOPT-A-POP/NAN’ Grandparents have a lifetime of experience to offer a child, but not all children in our c o mm u n i t y ha v e t h ei r grandparents around. That is why we would like to introduce the ’Adopt-a-nan & p o p ’ p r o g r a m . We welcome all grandparents and any older members of the community who would like to spend some time sharing their wisdom and enjoying some quality time with the children. If you would like to be part of the Adopt a Nan & Pop program, or just want to know more, please register your interest with TBCC (ring Claudia on 8575 3513). It is important to note that all participants in this program undergo a full background check and parents attend to ensure the safety of children and grandparents
