This month I would like to tell you about the great program offered by the Division on Disability Services supported with Division of Senior Services funding. The program is called the In- Home Caregiver Education & Support Program. The program provides a limited number of visits with various disciplines to assist caregivers caring for their loved ones. No charge but donations are accepted. If you are currently caring for family members and loved ones a registered nurse will visit for assessment. Call Mr. Daniel Kotkin (201) 336-6505 for further information, program eligibility requirements.

Please do not make multiple appointments in one day! Please be ready at least an hour before pickup! Time should be scheduled between 10:30 AM and 2 PM. and on Mon, Wed or Friday. 3. Let us know Doctors name, address and phone #. 4. Please call if you need to cancel. 5. Supermarket days are: Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays only: no more than 7 shoppers for grocery shopping; first come, first serve.

There still are a few seats available for the Brownstone trip on March 15th. Our trips to Lakeside Manor and Thimble Island are both on a wait-list basis. You shouldn’t hesitate to put your name on a wait-list as we usually have cancellations. On May 19th we will have our 48th club anniversary party at the Colonial Inn. If you haven’t yet signed up please do so. These parties are really a lot of fun and another opportunity to visit yet again the Colonial Inn before it closes. The final count of new and current members for 2016 has been completed. We now have 154 members for the current year. As mentioned our membership has grown and attendance at club activities has steadily increased. You executive committee works hard all year and very much appreciates the support you give us.

It doesn’t matter where you live you can be a member of the McGuire Senior Center! We have an “open door” policy that welcomes people from any town and any state. Yearly membership dues: $10.00 for Northvale residents, $12.00 for out of towners. A copy of the Busy Bee is then mailed monthly to your home if you are a member. Due to the increasing postage costs, we will stop mailing you the Busy Bees if you are not a member. We are a vital and vibrant center.....join us!!

Tuesday, March 29 – 12:30 – Downton Abbey Thursday, March 31 – 1:00 PM – Line Dancing is back…gather your friends and come dance, laugh, exercise to upbeat music. Only $2.00 per class.

Downton Abbey – Season Six is the last chapter of this fantastic series…..we will present chapters on Tuesday, March 22 and again on of March 29th ….12:30PM…..we will enjoy dessert and then watch the program. This program will continue into April until the final show. 3

Current Events: We gather around the table and discuss the latest events in town & world wide.... McGuire Crochet Club: Started in the year 2000 and going strong! Every Monday at 10:00 the ladies meet to crochet or knit together. Exercise Class: On Monday and Thursdays at 11:00 .....the group meets to stretch their muscles in preparation for exercises. No fee. Movin’ with Music: Every Monday at 2:00......Nancy uses music and light weights, balls and other equipment to help people with balance, eye to eye and hand to eye coordination, all associated with good posture while having fun. $2.00 per class. Films: Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 - a variety of films are shown for your enjoyment, no fee. Armchair Traveler: Visit exotic places while sitting in a comfortable chair...no passport required. Bingo: Who doesn’t love Bingo? Friday afternoons at 1:00 and Sundays afternoons from 1:30 to 3 PM. There is always a full house enjoying this game.
