Installing Your TV Attaching the Stand to the TV Your TV comes with a pedestal stand that lets you place it on the surface of a media console, table, or other level surface. Locate the stand and the 2 screws included in the box.

Step 2. Use a cross-head screwdriver to tighten the included screws in order to fasten the stand to the TV. Do not over-tighten.

To prepare the TV for installation, carefully place the TV face down on a cushioned surface and then follow the instructions below: Step 1. Align the screw holes of the stand post with the screw holes on the bottom of the TV.

USB (DVD)

This USB port is active when the TV is set to DVD mode and USB mode is selected (press MEDIA on the remote). Load USB memory sticks here.

The USB port is designed for media playback from flash memory devices. It is not designed to charge high-power devices.

28 SD/MMC/MS The SD/MMC/MS player is active when the TV is set to DVD mode and SD/MMC/MS is selected (press MEDIA on the remote). Load compatible SD, MMC, or MS memory cards here. 29 DVD

The DVD player is active when the TV is set to DVD mode. Load compatible optical discs here (e.g., DVD, CD). To load a disc, gently insert the disc into the slot with the label side facing the back of the TV; the loading mechanism will grasp the disc and automatically finish the loading process.

Never force a disc into the slot. If the slot fails to accept a disc, another disc may be loaded. Press EJECT to remove the other disc.

Battery Installation The remote control is powered by two (2) AAA-type batteries. 1. Pull down on the tab of the battery compartment cover to release the latch and then lift the cover off. 2. Remove the batteries and replace it with two new “AAA” batteries. 3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

⚠⚠

The batteries used in the remote control may present a fire or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not recharge, disassemble, incinerate, or heat the battery (~212°F). Keep batteries away from children. Remove the batteries from the remote to prevent leakage if it will not be used for a long time. Always replace batteries at the same time. Do not mix new and old batteries. Always use the same type of battery. Do not mix battery types (e.g., alkaline with manganese, or rechargeable batteries with non-rechargeable batteries).

Batteries in the remote will last for approximately 1 year. Replace the batteries if the remote control does not work. Always dispose of batteries according to your local municipal regulations.

Using the DC Car Adapter

HDMI In (HDMI Source Mode) Connection for HDMI video signals. Set the source mode to HDMI to view this connection on the display screen. The HDMI video connection is capabable of accepting signals from high-definition video sources (e.g., cable/ satellite boxes, Blu-ray players, game consoles, DVD players, etc). •• Make the HDMI connection with an HDMI cable capable of supporting HDMI 1.3 or greater.

HDMI transmits digital audio and video signals simultaneously over a single cable. This HDMI connector is capable of receiving video at resolutions up to 1080p (1080-progressive). If the external AV device does not support Auto HDMI, you will have to manually set the output resolution to match the native resolution of the TV set.

Cleaning a Disc Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe off any fingerprints and dusts from the playing surface of the disc. Wipe in a straight line radially from the center to the outside edge of the disc. Small dust particles and light stains will not affect playback quality.

Troubleshooting Unable to play a disc The disc is loaded incorrectly in the disc tray.

Check that the disc is placed in the disc tray with its label side facing up.

The disc is incompatible with the unit.

Load a compatible disc. Refer to the “About Optical Discs” section of this manual to review disc compatibility requirements.

The disc is dirty or damaged.

Try cleaning the disc. A disc may be unplayable if it is too scratched or otherwise damaged.

The remote control does not function

The remote control is beyond its working distance.

Make sure the remote control is within 20 feet of the sensor.

The unit has shut down.

Switch the unit off and disconnect it from the AC outlet. Then, reconnect the power and switch it on again.

The unit will not turn on. There is no power.

Please check that the AC or DC power cord is connected securely and that the outlet is providing power.

There is no picture, the picture is distorted, or the buttons on the unit are not working.

The picture has diagonal or herringbone interference patterns, or part of the picture is missing.

This sort of interference is usually caused by high temperature electro thermal equipment. There may be a hospital nearby with this equipment. Consider finding a different location for your TV installation.

The picture in VGA mode is distorted or abnormal. The picture is flickering.

The V-Height value may be set beyond the maximum limit. Restart the computer in safe mode, then reset the monitor parameters to the proper values.

There are horizontal stripes.

The sample phase may be deflected. Adjust the phase.

The picture looks snowy. A snowy picture usually results from a weak signal. Adjust the antenna or install an antenna amplifier. The picture is doubled or Double images are usually caused by looks ghosty. signal reflections from tall buildings. Adjust the direction of the antenna, or try to elevate it.
