Introduction Indonesia believes that democracy is a key element in the promotion of peace and stability in the region. Many nations in the region accept that universality of democratic values, such as respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, and a shared adherence to these values, should help consolidate peace, stability and prosperity in the region. It is with this view in mind, the Government of Indonesia initiated in 2008, the intergovernmental Bali Democracy Forum (BDF) as an annual forum of foreign ministers from Asia-Pacific countries that are democratic or are aspiring to be more democratic. The BDF, which is inclusive and open, is therefore designed to promote dialogue and cooperation in democracy toward good governance and political development through sharing of experiences and best practices that adhere to the principles of equality, understanding and mutual respect. The BDF is going to be held for the 6" time this year and the Government of Indonesia has chosen the theme "Consolidating Democracy in Pluralistic Society". II.

B. Registration Process: 1. All media representatives who are interested in covering the event must register using the prescribed Media Registration Form available at www.kemlu.go.it-! 2. Fill in the Media Registration Form and attach soft copies of the following documents: a. Letter of assignment from the editor/executive of the media; b. A form of identification - KTP for locals or passport for non Indonesian citizens - that is valid for at least six months; c. A recent digital passport-sized photograph (minimal resolution 480 x 640) 3. E-mail the completed form along with soft copies of the required documents (mentioned in no.2 above) to bdf2O13.mediayahoo.com 4. For successful media accreditation, an e-mail notification will be sent to confirm your accreditation together with a unique ID number. 5. Successful applicants are required to print and bring along a copy of the confirmation letter with the unique ID number to the registration counter located at the Pecatu Hall, BNDCC, Nusa Due on 6 November 2013 at 08.30 —20.00 hrs for issuance of ID pass.

III.

Visa Requirement Successful applicants who are not based in Indonesia are required to print and bring along the copy of the confirmation letter to apply for a journalist visa at the nearest Indonesian Embassy/Representative Office.

IV.

Customs Clearance Requirement The list of equipments that will be brought by applicants must be legalized by the nearest Indonesian Embassy/Representative office for importation and exportation purpose.

V.

Issuance of Accreditation Pass (ID) ID pass will be issued at the to the registration counter located at the Pecatu Hall, BNDCC, Nusa Dua on 6 November 2013 at 08.30 - 20.00 hrs for issuance of ID pass. ID must be worn at all times.

VI.

Media Pool In the event the space availability does not permit; a media pool may be applied. In this regards, special media passes will be issued and must be worn at all times together with ID badges. Others may observe or follow the events at the media center where CCTV is provided.

VII.

Media Center The Media Center will be located at Pecatu Hall 3, BNDCC and will be operational starting on the 6 November 2013. The Media Secretariat at the Media Center will arrange Press Conference and Press Interviews on a case-by-case basis. The Media Center will provide computers with internet access.

VIII.

Accommodation and Travel Arrangements Media representatives will be responsible for their own travel arrangements, reservation and payments of hotel/accommodation. The media are strongly urged to make reservation as soon as possible. Information on the list of the participating hotels in support of the conference can be viewed at the list below.
