Historically, proper maintenance of vacuum pumps required periodic cleaning of the pump using a flushing lubricant. Now, proper maintenance can be achieved using one lubricant that accomplishes both cleaning and lubrication at the same time. Virginia KMP’s dual-purpose vacuum pump oil has a paraffinic mineral oil base and can be used in deep vacuum applications. It offers high lubricity creating less friction between moving parts and has excellent film strength reducing wear and greatly lengthening the life of a vacuum pump. It is a true anti-wear lubricant. It is also formulated with a powerful anti-sludge agent which loosens sludge formed by dirt, water and the use of ordinary vacuum pump oils and actually prevents sludge from forming. This anti-sludge agent breaks up water, dirt and oil combinations allowing the water to separate from the oil and the solids to remain in suspension; both drain off with the oil when it is changed. Virginia KMP's dual-purpose vacuum pump oil is excellent for old and new vacuum pumps alike, cleaning and lubricating at the same time. Packaged in the USA in our ISO 9001 registered facility.
