Thermo Scientific oil free vacuum pump provides a source of vacuum for the HyperSep Glass Block and HyperSep Universal vacuum manifolds. The compact design of the vacuum pump, along with its quiet operation, makes it ideal for bench top use in the lab.

Principle of Operation

The vacuum pump, used in conjunction with the HyperSep Glass Block and HyperSep Universal vacuum manifolds, is an easy way to automate solid phase extraction in a number of different formats (3mL and 6mL cartridges and 96 well plates).

Getting Started

Software Installation

This instrument is designed for laboratory use only. Unpack the vacuum pump and make sure the pump is not damaged. If the unit is damaged, please contact Thermo Scientific customer service. No software is required for the use of this product.

Electrical Connection

The oil free vacuum pump is supplied with a North American plug (60104-241) and a European plug (60104243).

Initial Setup

1. Check the voltage specified on the nameplate on the bottom of the vacuum pump. Make sure it matches the voltage at your location. 2. Install the vacuum pump in a clean, dust-free and ventilated area. 3. To enable the vacuum pump as a vacuum source, connect the inlet of the pump to the outlet of the device, such as the HyperSep Glass Block or HyperSep Universal vacuum manifolds. High pressure hose should be used for this connection. 4. Once the tubing has been connected, press the on/off button to start the vacuum pump. 5. Adjust the vacuum using the regulator.
