Cabinet architecture • usually, AC/DC auxiliary services supply cabinets are realized in one or more associated steel enclosures with transparent doors, allowing visual access of the equipment without opening the door. • equipments are mounted on a mounting plate located in the backside of the enclosure, access being possible from the front side of the cabinet. • on request and according to the application type, equipments can be mounted on both sides of the mounting panel. In these cases front/rear access is provided. • metering devices, control and signalling equipments are mounted on dedicated hinged front plates located in the upper part of the cabinet. • the cable entry is done through the lower side of the cabinet, through dedicated gland plates. On request, the cable access is possible through the top part of the cabinet. • switchboard lighting, opening, 16A/230V a.c. outlet, heating element with thermal control are provided as standard. • the cabinets are floor mounting type; 100mm or 200mm high plinths are available. • Romanian language labelling (other languages on request) is provided. • RAL 7035 powder paint colour finishing.

CONTROL, SIGNALLING AND PROTECTION PANELS FOR 110/20(6)Kv POWER STATIONS

27

Control, signalling and protection panels for 110/20(6)kv power stations Classification According to the functionality of the 110kv switchgear following types of protection panels are available: • feeder protection panels; • 110/20(6)kV transformer protection panels; • bus-tie protection panels.

Functionalities According to the application type, the protection panels are equipped with I.E.D. (Intelligent Electronic Device) which can provide the following functionalities (the list is not exhaustive):

• Large graphic display, either integrated or as an external module; • Additional protection functions: overexcitation, overvoltage, undervoltage, residual overvoltage, directional overcurrent and earth-fault, overfrequency, underfrequency and underimpedance line back-up protection; • Extensive set of communication protocols: IEC 60870-5-10x, IEC 61850, Profibus, Modbus, etc; • current and voltage transformers circuits survey; • self-testing; • breaker failure, recloser, source changeover functions with able/ disable option.

• circuit breakers, switches ON/OF command, remote and local, with interlocks fulfilment; • transformer voltage regulation through on load tap-changer control; • transformer ventilation control; • network parameters measuring: phase currents, neutral current, phase to phase and phase to neutral voltages, active and reactive power, power factor, frequency, load curve; • primary equipment’s position monitoring; • tap-changer position monitoring; • Condition monitoring including circuit-breaker condition monitoring, trip circuit supervision and internal self-supervision of the transformer terminal; • events log; • built-in events reporting and sequential events recorder; • Control functions including local and remote control of switching objects, including object status indication and interlockings on bay and substation level; • communication interface with the central;
