Lone Star Ice Road Truckers

Although the country experienced extreme cold and ice during the first quarter of 2014, the freight still had to be delivered. (Above) Glenn Shephard (7461) delivered a 119 foot rectifier from Stratford, Wisconsin, to Nevada, Iowa. This project had to sit for 2 days until the temperature reached a balmy minus 10 degrees before the trailer’s hydraulics would work. (Right) - James Wolcott (900070) delivers an 85 foot deodorizer from Laredo, Texas, where the temperature was 72 degrees, to Mason City, Iowa, where the temperature was minus 18 degrees. (Below) - Allen Jones (7404) delivers a 78 foot control station from Des Moines, Iowa, to Conklin, Alberta, Canada, where the temperature was minus 14 degrees.
