Kravitch Machine Co manufactures industrial-quality curb keys. On the pages following are tables which list numerous options on the various curb key styles which are pictured above. Our Curb Keys are available with different shank materials and several socket options. KMC manufactures other keys not listed in the tables. If you do not see an option or style to suit your needs, please contact KMC.

Forged and machined slots are available in Table CK-101. All Curb Keys are manufactured with industrial-quality, higher strength cold rolled steel, unless otherwise noted. DOUBLE-ENDED CURB KEY WITH SLIDING HANDLE The Double-Ended Curb Key with Sliding Handle has a different slot or socket on each end. An adjustable sliding handle is included as one unit and is not removable. The sliding handle can be set and locked into place with a set screw. This allows for the sliding handle to be set to the optimum height for the operator, thus reducing operator fatigue and injury. Table CK-107 is manufactured from square tubing steel. The Slinky has a flexible shaft which follows the contour of a shifted curb box. Once on the curb stop the Slinky remains rigid enough to operate the stop. The Slinky reduces the need to dig up shifted curb boxes. Table CK-109 lists keys which fit either 1" dia Curb Boxes or 2 ½" dia Curb Boxes. Other lengths available upon request. HANDLE
The Sliding Handle Curb Key features a sliding tee handle which slides up and down the length of the shank and is locked into place with a set screw. This key is adjustable to operate valves at different bury depths. The sliding handle can be easily removed from the shank for compact storage. Extensions are available to increase shank length. If you do not see an option or style to suit your needs, please contact KMC.
The Fixed Open, Fixed Arch and Universal Joint boxes permit the flow of water and debris through the socket. The Closed box linkage is smaller allowing the operation of overhung valve boxes. The Universal Joint End oscillates up to 20 degrees and allows a repeated 360 degree rotation without removing the key from the valve. This reduces the need to dig up valve boxes. The Universal Joint End can be placed upon any of the gate key styles.

The shank length of the Telescoping Gate Key is adjustable by sliding the outer tube up and down along the length of the inner core. Once the desired length is achieved the outer tube is bolted to the inner core through incrementally drilled holes along the length of the shank.

GATE VALVE EXTENSION
The Gate Valve Extension (GVE) enables the operation of deeply buried valves with standard length gate valve keys. The GVE consists of a shank with an 2" valve operator on the top and a 2" socket on the bottom. The bottom of the GVE (2" socket) is placed on top of a deeply buried valve. A standard length gate key can now be used to operate the valve. The extension can be left in place and operated as needed. A centering ring is attached to the shank of the extension to keep it centered in the valve box. The weight of the extension will hold it into place. Set screws are available to secure the

DETECTOR
This style of Leak Detector has been used to locate water leaks for over 60 years. It operates much like a stethoscope. Leaking water emits a vibra tion. T his vibration is detected and amplified by the leak detector. It takes a short time to become proficient in locating water leaks with this style of leak detector. The KMC Leak Detector is a sensitive device. It is inexpensive and is used by bo th large and sma ll water utilities.
Leaks are located by the following method. 1. Place the leak detector sound detection pads on the ground in an area where the leak is suspected. 2. Place ear pieces in contact with your ears and listen for a sound similar to escaping steam. 3. Move the sound detection pads until locating the point where the escap ing sound is the loudest. NOTE: Never disturb the sound detection pads while the ear piece is in contact with your ears.

THE TRN KEY
INTRODUCING THE PATENTED TRN KEY The TRN Key operates most gate valves with rounded nuts. The TRN Key is used by firstresponders in emergency shutdown situations. The TRN Key Socket is made up of interjaws which grip the rounded valve nut and an outer shell which is driven over the inner jaws locking them to the valve nut. The valve is then able to be turned.
