Kraft paper – naturally stronger

The strength you need – the quality you deserve Our Kraft paper is some of the strongest produced anywhere in the world today. This is partly because of the advanced technology we use at our modern paper and pulp mills in Bäckhammar and Åmotfors in the west of Sweden. But it is also thanks to our Nordic home, where the cold winters and cool summers mean strong fibres and stronger paper. The pulp comes from our own pulp mill, from 100% virgin fibre sourced from certified Scandinavian forests. This gives us complete control over the entire life cycle, so we can minimise the environmental impact and produce the strongest and best-suited Kraft paper for packaging of food, construction materials and other products, as well as a wide range of other industrial uses. We deliver the paper you want with the specifications you need. We work with you to develop and manufacture exactly the right paper to help you do better business. It’s what we do. We are your global paper partner. Nordic Paper. It’s in our nature.

World-class production, top-class paper Our modern paper and pulp mills are the heart of our business: four paper mills and two pulp mills, all within 250 kilometres of each other, producing some of the best paper in the world. Set amid the vast forests that provide our renewable raw materials, our mills close to the Swedish-Norwegian border are important players in their local communities. Home to a wealth of experience and expertise in producing speciality paper dating back nearly 150 years, our mills use modern technology and processes to produce top-quality paper while meeting tough environmental requirements. In Bäckhammar, our two paper machines produce more than 140,000 tonnes of unbleached Kraft paper every year. And our pulp mill at Bäckhammar produces more than 230,000 tonnes of unbleached pulp a year. Two unique paper machines at our plant in Åmotfors produce 40,000 tonnes of speciality unbleached Kraft paper a year as well. Our pulp mill in Säffle produces 30,000 tonnes of pulp per year, while the two paper machines have an annual capacity of around 30,000 tonnes of Natural Greaseproof paper. Our Greåker facility, in Norway, has two paper machines, with a total annual capacity of 35,000 tonnes of Natural Greaseproof paper.
