Select location and date. Know approximately how many people will go. Call our office to set up the trip. Send registration form with deposit Start raising funds. Return Application/Medical Release forms for everyone in your group. Complete the Informational Questionnaire and return. You must have a notarized Parental Consent form for every minor in your group. Purchase airfare and send itinerary to SCORE office. Prepare all of your ministry tools.

Sports in the mission field What to expect on an international trip Once you arrive, a SCORE representative will meet you at the airport and transport your group to your lodging facility. There you will be greeted by the SCORE Missionary serving in the field, and they will give you an itinerary of events for each day. Your team will experience ministry opportunities that are set up by our field missionaries during the day, then prepare for competitive games with National teams during the afternoon/evening. One day will be reserved for leisure activities.

Ministry projects include:

• Visiting an orphanage • Playing with kids in a village • Feeding a village • Providing a sports clinic • Light construction work

A SCORE trip is NOT just another trip, it is a way to learn how sports can be used as a platform for sharing the Gospel. At every game, the Gospel will be presented and team members can choose to share their testimony.

Trip participants will have a leisure day. Groups usually participate in ministry for 5 days and then choose one leisure day where they can choose from the following activities.

Don’t forget your Passport! Passports are REQUIRED for all U.S. citizens traveling out of country! Please check your passport to see if it is valid and when it expires. In some countries your passport may need to be valid at least 90 days after the date of travel, so please check your expiration date.

Take your team • High School teams • College teams • Professional teams A typical international trip lasts 8 days. You will have the opportunity to play teams from the country you visit and between games there will be outreach opportunities in local communities, orphanages and churches. Your trip coordinator will set up all the games and outreach opportunities as well as you leisure days. Depending on the country you visit, there will be sightseeing tours, a visit to the city or market for souvenirs.

Destinations Hot spots for sports ministry From South America, to Europe, to the Caribbean we are willing to go anywhere for which your group has a burden. If you do not have a particular country in mind, SCORE offers trips to specific destinations that are “hot spots for ministry.” Here are just a few.
