Friday, August 29, DAY 6: STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN Spread out over 14 islands in Lake Malaren, Stockholm looks out proudly to the Baltic Sea. Her 700 year history is reflected in the grand public buildings, palaces, and rich cultural history. While here plan to visit the Old Town with its cobblestone streets, beautifully preserved buildings, gothic churches and the Royal Palace. Saturday, August 30, DAY 7: HELSINKI, FINLAND Sitting on the edge of the Baltic, the modern, cosmopolitan city of Helsinki is the World Design Capital for 2012. The beauty of the surrounding nature blends seamlessly with high-tech achievements and contemporary trends. Walking tours of the city centre show layers of history, while modern architecture and cutting-edge style stake the city's claim to the future.

ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA Created by Peter the Great to rival Venice, the city fans out over 101 islands, 66 canals and hundreds of bridges and is deservedly called “the most beautiful city in Russia”. Sightseeing highlights include; the Palace Square, Nevsky Prospekt, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Admiralty Tower, Kazan Cathedral, Peter and Paul Fortress and of course the Hermitage Museum, located in the Winter Palace, home of the last czars and Pushkin, once home of the Imperial family.
