Choose quality When choosing and planning your outdoor living space you have important decisions to make about design, color, style, finish and budget. Our collection is one of North America’s largest ranges of high quality stone, porcelain and clay, with a paving option to suit all tastes and projects. Our porcelain range, VitripiazzaTM has been carefully sourced from Italy which is renowned for its superior quality vitrified porcelain. In addition to external paving, VitripiazzaTM offers matching indoor tiles, to enable home owners to achieve a truly beautiful, sleek and seamless inside-outside design.

Our De TerraTM clay products are produced in Europe, providing customers with a high quality, cosmopolitan range of handmade clay pavers and bricks. Offering the USA’s largest range of natural stone, we carefully source the very best from quarries around the world. However the majority of our stone products come from our own operated quarries and processing factory facilities in India. This provides customers with an end to end supply chain solution and enables us to ensure the quality, timely supply and ethical sourcing of our stone products.

After choosing the style, color and finish of your stone, another very important consideration should be the sourcing of this stone. The best way customers can ensure that their choice of stone has been ethically sourced, is by checking that the stone supplier is a member of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) and can prove good ethical practices in manufacturing and can demonstrate appropriate activity within the human rights arena. Natural Paving Products has been a full member of the ETI for several years and takes an active role in their specialist Stone Group.

We import from a number of countries to offer the best in choice but unlike our competitors we operate a number of quarry mines and factories in India. As a manufacturer we invest in our supply chain and the people that work in it. Fully aware of inhumane practices, (including child labor) that exist in some parts of the world, Natural Paving Products has made a firm commitment to demonstrate to our industry, just how natural stone mining should and can be carried out successfully and ethically. Our recent work with the SCMCH school and hostel, located near to our new factory in India has included the installation of a new clean drinking water system, the installation of a new ten station computer classroom and financial donations to this very worthy cause. The local media have taken an interest in our work, which we hope will enhance our acceptance into this village and enable us to give something back to the community.

Our long term commitment to this project is to make life much better for the Children at SCMCH and of the villages of Madhya Pradesh. In 2015 Natural Paving Products engaged with Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian children’s rights and education advocate and an activist against child labor. He founded the Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA Save the Childhood Movement) in 1980 and has acted to protect the rights of more than 83,000 children from 144 countries. It is largely because of his work and activism that the International Labor Organization adopted Convention No.182 on the worst forms of child labor, which is now a principal guideline for governments around the world.

His work is recognised through various national and international honors and awards including the Nobel Peace Prize of 2014, which he shared with Malala Yousafzai from Pakistan. As part of the BBA auditing process, Kailash and his team have visited our factory and he is now working very closely with us on various charity projects with our ultimate aim of eradicating child labor and improving education standards within the stone regions of India.

In July 2013, the Construction Production Regulations made it mandatory for suppliers (in the UK) to provide key data and CE mark each product allowing users to make informed choices. David Richardson is a Fellow of the Geological Society and past President of The Stone Federation of Great Britain and as a Natural Stone Consultant at FMDC he undertakes work on the suitability of geological materials for incorporation in building projects. David has worked with Natural Paving Products in developing a stone standard for aiding customer choice. Ask your local Sales Representative for details on the standards.

David comments, “It is important for the end user to select the right material for their project, so buying from a supplier that provides compliant and tested products is very important. Consumers should also be wary that some suppliers fabricate test data to give the appearance that they comply with the Statutory Regulations. Also, buying from a source with good ethical and sustainable credentials helps minimise abuse and other unacceptable practices within the wider supply chain.”

Tumbled/ Rumbled

Literally tumbled to give a weathered, aged, antique finish.

Chamfered

Where a stone edge has been beveled.

Calibrated

Stone that has been machine cut to a nominal thickness. Calibrated stone is useful where weight and/or limited depth for laying the product is an issue. It is easier to install than non calibrated stone.
