How to register a group/individual for an event

How to register a group/individual for an event Before you register for any event: To receive member pricing/discounts for your staff - you need to have your staff that you are registering, attached to your company’s membership in the TAPS website. The primary contact can see who is attached to your company’s membership by signing into the website and going to “Member Centre” and looking at the “Members” tab within “My Memberships”. If you need help with adding staff to your membership, you can download a short step by step guide here - http://www.payroll.com.au/documents/item/39 IMPORTANT: If you register yourself or staff that is not attached to your membership in our system you will be charged non-member pricing by default. Step One Registering an individual or a group is essentially the same, however, Group registrations are more complex. We will cover that in this guide. We will assume everyone you are registering, is attached to your company's membership. Only the primary contact can register a group. So it's important that the primary contact is signed into the website to register a group. If it’s an individual registering, that individual should be the one signed into the website.

Step Two Registering for any event within the TAPS website is exactly the same. For this tutorial we are registering a Terminations course for a group of 4.

You can see there are 4 options available. Register myself - this is for an individual. The person registering should be the one signed into the website. Register another person - this is for the primary contact to register one of their staff members. The primary contact needs to be signed into the site and the staff they are registering needs to be attached to the company's membership to receive member pricing. If not, they will be charged non-member price by default. This option will have the system send the invoice to the primary contact and not the individual attending the event. Register myself and a group of other people - this is for the primary contact to register themself and a group of their staff members. The primary contact needs to be signed into the site. The system will send the invoice to the primary contact and not the group of staff attending the event. Register a group of other people only - this is for the primary contact to register a group of their staff members but not be part of the group themselves. The system will send the invoice to the primary contact and not the group of staff attending the event. We will select register myself and a group of other people for this tutorial. However, registering an individual is essentially the same, minus adding other staff members. For individual registrations continue with the steps until you complete step 3 and then you can jump to step 5 to finish your registration.

Step Three Once you select the way you wish to register, you will see that your details will be pre-filled out for you. This is because you have signed into the website and it's picking up all your details that we have on the system. If you see any details that are incorrect or fields not filled out, please take the time to update your details. If all of the information is correct, click “submit” button at bottom of page to continue with registration. If you are an individual registering, you can now jump straight to Step Five on page 8 in this guide.

Step Four The primary contact is now registered. We now add our 3 other staff to this group. Where it says “Reserve Additional” - change the number to 3 to add 3 more staff members to bring the total group to 4 people. Then click the “Reserve” button.

3 extra staff members details will need to be completed. Click on the blue text “Update registration details” to add the first staff member to this group booking.

Enter your staff member's First Name, Last Name and Email address, the same way it is entered into our system, which you can see in member centre. A message under the email field “Existing user found” in red indicates our system will add that staff member correctly to the group booking and they will be charged the member rate if applicable.

If you see “New user entered” this indicates the system doesn't recognise the staff member you believe is part of your team. Check you have entered their email address correctly, that you have spelt their name correctly or that they are added to your company's members in the member centre.

If there are fields within your contact that needs updating, please take the time to quickly update it now. This will save the details for future registrations. Finally, click the cancellation policy if not already ticked and click submit.

Repeat this process until your whole team of 4 is added.
