October 6-8, 2016 EDEN HOTEL, Anavyssos, Athens - Greece

Welcome Message «stay small but perform with distinction» 4  European Combo-Endocrinology Course on 6th-8th  October 2016 in Athens, Greece, on ‘Ageing and Anti-Ageing Endocrinology’ th

A Comprehensive Course to guide how to improve the quality of your practice for you and your patients. This is the fourth year of the new series of “COMBO – ENDOCRINOLOGY” comprehensive, annual course. The main goal of these course series is to provide trainees, fellows, early career professionals with a complete, in-depth knowledge on  specific hot topics of Endocrinology in a combined (Combo) approach with other medical/surgical specialties. COMBO ENDOCRINOLOGY meetings will be monothematic courses providing knowledge on a different endocrine entity each year, through lectures, meet-the-expert sessions and case presentations. This year’s theme will be on Ageing and Anti-Ageing Endocrinology. This course is designed as an educational tool and a practical manual to understand the impact of ageing on various endocrine-related entities such as metabolism, skin, reproductive system, thyroid, bones, psychological and nutritional aspects, hormonal changes etc. as well as how to approach the ageing male and female in terms of management and ‘anti-ageing’ techniques. Highlights of this course are the workshops where participants under the guidance of their tutor in a particularly interactive way, are encouraged to step forward, present innovative ideas on ageing and anti-ageing projects and case presentations, learn about how hormones and bioactive products affect ageing and broaden the horizons of the conventional endocrinology approach. This is an innovative idea, started three years ago and found fertilizing ground among different specilities linked with endocrinology and inspired colleagues. This year is organized by Athens Euroclinic, Greece and Dessau Medical Centre, Germany, aiming to bring together scientists from different specialty backgrounds to target a specific endocrine topic and promote the attractive multidimensional profile of Endocrinology. It is our pleasure to see this effort being embraced with great interest by a growing number of young scientists. Consequently, a debt of gratitude is owed to each one of the distinguished tutors and speakers, who are embarking on their scientific topics and are serving our ultimate targets, education and clinical practice! Therefore, from heart thanks to their synergistic confluence that has given birth to this unique interactive course with my true appreciation to our financial supporters who have helped it to make steady steps forward. Undoubtedly, my high esteem is owed to each member of the organizing committee and especially this year to my vice president, Professor Christos Zouboulis, who has provided tirelessly input on every step of the efforts to achieve and maintain high scientific standards of the course. Thus, we have arrived at 4th COMBO ENDO with pride and with greater degree of responsibility to every participant, whose presence in this course consolidates our commitment and dedication to teach and practice evidence based medicine! Yours, Evanthia Diamanti-Kandarakis MD, PhD Professor of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology & Metabolism Head of Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes Center of Excellence, Athens Euroclinic, Greece  President of the Course
