UNIDAD 4: “Cuál es tu opinión acerca de…? (What´s your opinion about…?) Para responder a estas preguntas podemos usar las expresiones: In my opinion… / I think… / I believe… Generalmente al dar la opinión sobre algo, alguien o lugar, usamos adjetivos que nos ayudan a describir. Podemos usar sólo adjetivos o bien comparativos y superlativos. Anteriormente ya habíamos visto el tema pero ahora lo reforzaremos más, así que presta mucha atención. Si tienes dudas anótalas en tu cuaderno y luego podrás consultarlas vía e-mail. Entonces debes recordar lo siguiente… COMPARATIVE ADJECTIVES Para formar adjetivos comparativos en inglés: 1. Para adjetivos de una silaba y que terminan con dos consonantes añade er Tall-Taller 2. Para adjetivos que acaban en la letra e añade r Large-Larger 3. Para adjetivos que acaban en una vocal + un consonante añade consonante + er Big-Bigger 4. Para adjetivos que acaban en y añade ier (tidy, empty, dry, busy, dirty, funny, early) Happy-Happier 5. Si el adjetivo tiene dos sílabas ó mas usa more + el adjetivo (excepciones son los adjetivos que acaban en y ver arriba) Modern-More modern 6. Hay algunos adjetivos a los que se puede añadir er or more Clever Cleverer ó More clever Narrow narrower ó More narrow Simple Simpler ó More simple 7. Algunos adjetivos son irregulares Good= Better Bad = Worse Far = Farther/Further

Para escribir frases comparativas: sujeto + verbo TO BE + adjetivo comparativo + than + objeto She is taller than her sister. Ella es mas alta que su hermana. Summer is hotter than winter. El verano es más caluroso que el invierno.

READING COMPREHENSION ACTIVITY HIP HOP FASHIONS Teenagers who listen to the same music often have a common “look”. One hot style in music and fashion is hip-hop. Hip-hop is a type of urban music with a heavy beat. The lyrics are very important in this music. Hip-hop fashions are large or loose-fitting street clothes. The style includes baggy jeans, sweatshirts, hiking boots, and baseball caps (usually worn backward). However, teens add other clothing items like flannel shirts, jackets with sports logos, and athletic shoes. In hip-hop style, boys and girls dress the same.
