Old-Fashioned Pancakes

Learn how to make old-fashioned pancakes from scratch. Teens will measure, mix and cook pancakes on a griddle. Toppings include syrup, bananas, and butter. Wednesday, January 11 @ 6:00 - 7:00pm. Register!

Free Tax Help - February 1 through April 17

Tuesdays, 3 pm ‐ 7 pm                                                                                                              Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays, 10 am ‐ 2 pm  It’s tax time, and AARP Tax‐Aide is here to help. This free tax preparation service is for middle ‐ to  low‐income taxpayers.  Special attention is given to those age 60 and older.  Please bring with you  the  following:     notices, booklets, and/or forms received from the IRS and NYS; copy of last year’s returns; W‐2s;  unemployment compensation statements; all SSA‐1099 forms;  forms indicating federal income tax paid; dependent  care  provider  information;    receipts  or  cancelled  checks  for  income  and  property  taxes  paid  and  charitable                contributions; and, social security numbers for all dependents.  The IRS has requested the following changes in tax  preparation  procedures:    the  Greeter  will  give  you  an  intake  sheet  to  be  filled  out  and  signed;  the  Counselor  will    prepare your return; and, another Counselor will review your return for quality. 

It’s Snowing - Schools are Closed - Is the Library Open? If  the  North  Rockland  School  District  closes  for  the  day,  the  library  opens  at  1:00  pm.    If  the  weather  is  still  bad  by  11:30  am  the  library  will  not  open.       Library closings  and/or changes in hours  are  announced  on  our  recorded  phone  message, on WHUD 100.7 FM and WRCR 1300 AM radio, and  on cancellations.com.  No fines on snow days!   

Art Exhibits January ‐ Robert Huntoon continues his exhibit  of acrylics,  oils, and prints.  February  &  March  ‐  Reprints  of  photographs  of  Letchworth  Village,  taken  by  world                      famous  photographer  Margaret  Bourke‐White  in 1933.   These  photographs  have  been made  available  to  us  by  the  Hudson  Valley                           Developmental Disability Services  Office.
