Call 3 Project Outline Preparation Days Goals The 2-day event will enable you to: 1. Learn and discuss about new project ideas, via    

The online networking tools, including the project idea tool, partner search and message board A poster session Parallel project idea pitch sessions Workgroup sessions

2. Meet with participants from all over the world to define potential projects and form initial project consortia 3. Receive general information about ITEA and the Call process

Informal session (‘Marketplace’)



Project idea pitches

In large parallel groups: -

present project idea in max 4 min (‘elevator pitch’) check interest and identify possible clustering of project ideas



Brainstorm session

Start discussions in smaller workgroups to form the rough Project Outline and consortium



Plenary session

Presentations of the first rough project outlines -



End of Day 1 Status updates will be shown on the displays

use the ‘Project Idea’ template (USB) max. 5 minutes per project idea

Guidelines Group Discussions  Ensure there is a discussion leader (e.g. an experienced ITEA participant): - Take care of overall timing; stop non-relevant or too detailed discussions - Take care that key messages of the discussion participants are heard

 Discussion: -

Make an inventory of project ideas, technologies and organisations Cluster ideas while keeping focus Share the business orientation and check the innovation from the beginning Identify which organisations have a real added value Avoid ‘Mega clusters’ of ideas; split up if needed

 Wrap Up: - Define follow-up actions - Assign a contact person and presenter per cluster - Complete ‘Project Idea’ template (USB) per cluster and deliver it to Erik Rodenbach 15 min. before start of the plenary session 27

Group discussions Room allocation  No room reservation: first come, first served  Clearly indicate your project idea number(s) using the signage posts, flip charts, etc.  Indicate your positioning on your ‘Notes’ poster and put a comment beneath your project idea online







 Room allocation / group positioning will be displayed on the displays (e.g. at the registration desk) and on the PO Days webpages. 28
