On behalf of the International Society of Nurses in Genetics (ISONG) Program Committee and the Board of Directors, it gives us great pleasure to invite nurses in genetics and geneticists worldwide to the Society’s 24th Annual Conference in Montréal, Canada. The conference provides a forum for nurses, genetic counselors, and other healthcare professionals dedicated to all aspects of human genetics including basic science research, clinical research, clinical practice and professional and lay education. It encompasses four days of pre-conference workshops, scientific presentations, and professional interactions with continuing education credits. Overall Conference Objective • Bring researchers, clinicians, and professionals involved with the care of persons with genetic problems together to exchange information, ideas, and scientific data. Educational Objectives Attendees will be able to; 1. Outline the recent genetic scientific advances worldwide. 2. Compare the experience of worldwide healthcare professionals involved in genetics. 3. Provide a forum for nurses and healthcare providers from all countries to interact, share experiences, and discuss effective treatment modalities among themselves. 4. Identify how nurses from different countries are leading the way for genomic healthcare. This year, the conference precedes the International Congress of Human Genetics (ICHG)/American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) 2011 Meeting. We hope you will be able to participate in the Conference and look forward to welcoming you to Montréal.
