Who is Galloping Grace Youth Ranch? Galloping Grace Youth Ranch (GGYR) offers and promotes programs that educate children about leadership, agriculture and community. We provide children and their families with a unique opportunity to interact with a local, sustainable, working ranch which focuses its efforts on enhancing agricultural education, improving the environment and encouraging charitable giving. Our Mission is Bringing PURE JOY to Children by creating a place where kids lead kids while raising livestock, growing crops, exploring the outdoors and enriching the community. We cultivate healthy kids today, so they can harvest a healthy society tomorrow.

Tell me more about GGYR’s Pumpkin Patch! The pumpkin patch is our biggest and most exciting fundraiser! It’s not just about pumpkins, duck races and corn mazes. For the community, it’s an EVENT - fall isn’t complete without a trip to GGYR’s Pumpkin Patch! And for GGYR, it allows us to achieve our vision. The GGYR Pumpkin Patch is: a multi-dimensional, multi-day event for the whole family (over 30 days) the only Pumpkin Patch in Rio Rancho the most economical, family-friendly fun you can have in the Albuquerque metro area expected to serve close to 55,000 people again this year debuting this year’s new and exciting features: A Birthday Party Pavilion and Field Trip Drop-off/Pick-up Zone!

Pumpkin Patch Fans: Our fan base consists of hundreds of FAMILIES. Parents, grandparents and children of all ages are able to enjoy the Pumpkin Patch’s attractions and pick out their fall pumpkins. GGYR provides a FUN opportunity to make memories and learn about farming and ranching. We promote a family-friendly environment where everyone has a great time!

Sponsorship Opportunities Be a part of the GGYR Pumpkin Patch and help cultivate healthy kids today so they can harvest a healthy society tomorrow! Display your company name and logo for approximately 55,000 pumpkin patch attendees to see. By sponsoring the overall event or an attraction, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your company name and logo for over 30 days to thousands of people. Opportunities are limited and may sell out quickly – be sure to reserve your preferred attraction early.

The sooner you sign up to sponsor an attraction, the more publicity you may receive through social media and website promotions (based on sponsorship package) and the better your chances of getting your preferred sponsor selection. Selections are based on the sponsorship package and are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests will be accepted upon receipt of the completed agreement and payment. GGYR is conscious of the family budget and invites everyone to participate. For years, we haven’t charged for admission. However, this does not mean the programs are “free.” Growing, running and maintaining our facilities and programs do have an associated cost. To remain sustainable for the future, we must begin charging an admission fee at the Pumpkin Patch. This decision was made with much thought and consideration of the families who have loyally supported us over the years. In addition, we’re very thankful for your continued support as local business partners in our growing community.

GGYR Programs: Junior Leadership Program - Children, ages 12-17, have an opportunity to learn about leadership, sustainable agriculture, and community enrichment while having loads of FUN. Summer Session Program - As the weather warms up, we teach children of all ages about raising animals, growing crops, exploring the outdoors, enriching the community. Throughout the summer, we’ll have several “Open to the public days” where kids can visit the ranch with their favorite grown-ups and have some FUN. Summer CAMP - Whether it’s farming or ranching, we have a fun, hands-on camp for your 4-8 year-old! Chickens, pigs, goats and cows each have their day to shine during Ranch Camp. Gardening, butterflies, fibers and pollination are explored during Farm Camp. We bring the classroom to the barnyard with our unique and interactive agricultural experience. Food Recovery Program - Over 35 million tons of food are thrown into landfills in the U.S. every year. Together with partners like Albertsons grocery stores, Roadrunner Food Bank and Dion’s Pizza, we anticipate diverting over 500 TONS of discarded food this year. Rio Rancho Public Schools Cafeteria Recycling Program - Our smallest citizens help in a big way by recycling their uneaten lunches and snacks. Last year, we diverted over 45,000 pounds of cafeteria food waste from the landfills to the tummies of our chickens. Chicks in the Classroom - Together with The Center for Hands-On Learning we’ve designed a fun program which helps teachers integrate STEM education into their curriculum. Teachers receive 2 baby chicks and the equipment necessary to raise the chicks for 4 weeks. Mobile Farm/Ranch - Bring the farm to the classroom! We can compile classroom kits, bring our mobile farm onsite, host a field trip at the ranch, and in the future, install an on-campus farm. Where we’re headed: Preschool & Pre-K Educational Program - Plans are underway to open the doors of an agriculturallythemed school; serving preschool and pre-K aged children. Aquaponic & Hydroponic Greenhouses - GGYR has plans to incorporate a variety of Aquaponic & Hydroponic greenhouses. In addition to growing food for our community, the greenhouses will serve as an additional STEM educational opportunity for children to learn and grow.
