“The art talk” Art Talk a program that runs throughout the four day fair is all about dialogues, debates, discussions, and presentations on all things art. This is an educational series of critical and insightful art historians, curators, independent art spaces, museum directors, art lecturers, publishers, government officials and collectors.

The very first Kenya Art Fair kicks off with a vibrant showcase of diverse and outstanding works from the leading art galleries, artists, art centers, collectors and emerging artists in Kenya. The fair plays an important role in supporting the growing contemporary arts industry bringing together professionals and new talent, Government representatives and private sector, corporate and media houses, art institutions, collectors, writers and thinkers, art lovers as well as a variety of other local and international stakeholders as key players in the development of the visual arts in Kenya. The four day event will offer a richly varied art experience. The ‘Wasaani Exhibition’ will present a diverse collection of artworks by established and emerging artists as well as curated installation projects. This section includes paintings, works on paper, photography, sculptures, new media and installation work by emerging and established artists. The four day speakers’ forum coined ‘THE ART TALK’, will present influential voices to cater to varied audience of art enthusiasts discussing, debating, presenting on informative topics centered on all things ‘Art’. The Kenya Art Fair aims to create a critical space and platform for dialogue and exchange on rich relevant topics that affect the visual arts industry in Kenya and the region. The Cartoon Exhibition is a curated show case of works from the 50 top finalists that submitted cartoon and comic entries towards the Kenya Art Fair Cartoon Competition- themed ‘Celebrating Art@50”. Never before in this region has there been an event of this scale dedicated to visual artists. The Kenya Art Fair is open to the public and should average 5,000 visitors over the weekend. Join us as we celebrate Contemporary Visual Arts in Kenya!
