Technical Guide
The best combination of comfort and economy Chaffoteaux & Maury wall-hung gas appliances offer great flexibility in flueing arrangements, to accommodate all installation requirements. This technical guide will help you to select the correct flue and components, for the location of the boiler within a property.
1 - Standard Horizontal The standard flue adaptor can rotate through a full 360˚ allowing the greatest flexibility in siting. *SE- duct Installation Pack shown separately.
2 - Raised Horizontal Using a vertical adaptor together with standard flue extensions it is possible to extend the overall length of a standard flue and still terminate horizontally.
3 - Vertical For situations where it is necessary to terminate the flue vertically through a tiled or flat roof.
4 - Twin Pipe (Biflux) Suitable for applications where the appliance is either sited further than 3 metres from a suitable external wall or where building obstructions do not allow conventional horizontal or vertical flueing arrangements.

Standard Horizontal • Chaffoteaux & Maury wall-hung appliances can be fitted up to 3 metres from an outside wall using the Standard Horizontal Flue Kit. • Full 360˚ rotation of the flue adaptor allows the greatest flexibility. • The optional 45˚ and 90˚ bends make the system ideal for boiler changes. • With a special rubber sealing ring the flue can be installed and

Horizontal incorporating 45˚ or 90˚ bend
Raised Horizontal • Chaffoteaux & Maury wall-hung appliances can be fitted up to 10 metres from an outside wall using 80/125mm flue components (3 metres using 60/100mm flue components). • As long as the flue terminates horizontally, the main length of the flue can be vertical.

• Uses standard straight flue extensions and bends. • With a special rubber sealing ring the flue can be installed and sealed externally at high levels without requiring access to the outside (60/100mm only). • Unobtrusive terminal. • Starter pack contains adaptor and terminal. Simply add bends and straight extensions as required to complete the installation (60/100mm only). • For 80/125mm use vertical starter pack. • Full range of accessories available. 4

Each option has a maximum recommended length. The actual length of straight pipe is reduced by the number of fittings or bends that are used. See calculation chart on page 11.
