Technical Guide The best combination of comfort and economy
Chaffoteaux & Maury wall-hung gas appliances offer great flexibility in flueing arrangements, to accommodate all installation requirements. This technical guide will help you to select the correct flue and components, for the location of the boiler within a property.
1 - Standard Horizontal The standard flue can rotate through a full 360˚ allowing the greatest flexibility in siting. 2 - Raised Horizontal Using a vertical adaptor together with standard flue extensions it is possible to extend the overall length of a standard flue and still terminate horizontally.

3 - Vertical For situations where it is necessary to terminate the flue vertically through a tiled or flat roof.

4 - Twin Pipe (Biflux) Suitable for applications where the appliance is either sited further from a suitable external wall or where building obstructions do not allow conventional horizontal or vertical flueing arrangements.

Flue Types Standard horizontal C&M wall-hung appliances can be fitted up to 4 metres from an outside wall using the standard horizontal flue kit. Full 360˚ rotation of the flue allows the greatest flexibility. The optional 45˚ and 90˚ bends make the system ideal for boiler changes.
Horizontal incorporating 2 x 45˚ bends
With a special rubber sealing ring the flue can be installed and sealed externally at high levels without requiring access to the outside. Unobtrusive terminal. The standard kit contains all that is necessary for a basic installation. Full range of accessories available.
Horizontal incorporating 45˚ or 90˚ bend
Raised horizontal C&M wall-hung appliances can be fitted up to 15 metres from an outside wall using 80/125mm flue components (4 metres using 60/100mm flue components). As long as the flue terminates horizontally, the main length of the flue can be vertical. Uses standard straight flue extensions and bends. With a special rubber sealing ring the flue can be installed and sealed externally at high levels without requiring access to the outside (60/100mm only).
Raised Horizontal, side exit
Unobtrusive terminal. Simply add bends and straight extensions as required to complete the installation (60/100mm only). For 80/125mm use the 80/125 vertical adaptor. Full range of accessories available. Raised Horizontal incorporating 2 x 90˚ bend and straight extensions

Vertical Flue can terminate vertically up to 16 metres away from the boiler using the 80/125mm Vertical Flue Kit (5 metres using the 60/100mm Vertical Flue Kit).
Vertical Flue incorporating 2 x 90˚ bends
Removes the need to fit the boiler near an outside wall. A multitude of accessories make a very adaptable and flexible flue system. Vertical terminals for flat, sloping, tiled or slated roofs available. Terminals and Flashings available in terracotta finish to special order. Vertical Flue incorporating 1 x 90˚ bend and 2 x 45˚ bends
Twin Pipe (Biflux)
The ultimate in flexibility. C&M wall-hung boilers can be fitted with up to 30 metres of Biflux flue.
Twin Pipe Flue with single vertical terminal
Can terminate on flat, sloping, slated or tiled roofs. Vertical, horizontal and even separate terminals are available. Full range of accessories available.
