META-TEC® ADHESIVE TECHNOLOGY – Patented Meta-Tec® adhesives are the latest advance in adhesive technology. Meta-Tec® products utilize cross-linking chemistry technology which creates a permanent bond that when fully cured is waterproof, extremely strong, and environmentally friendly. Meta-Tec® products are one-part formulations that replace and out-perform more costly epoxy, urethane, and acrylic adhesives and are easy to use, easy to clean up, and very installer friendly.
W.F. Taylor Co., Inc. – an industry leader in the development of floor covering adhesives and floor
preparation products – was founded in 1977 by Wallace F. Taylor, a well-respected chemist. In 1984 Taylor was sold to a British company who retained ownership until 1989 when the present management purchased the company.
A Healthy History – Envirotec® Taylor’s commitment to the environment was first demonstrated in the early 1990s with the development and introduction of its Envirotec ® Healthguard Adhesive Technology. Taylor’s Envirotec® line – the first environmentally friendly adhesive products – meets all the requirements of the CRI Green Label Plus™ Program and is the first to achieve the coveted Greenguard® Certification.
MS (MODIFIED SILANE) ADHESIVES – MS-Plus® adhesives with Meta-Tec® Technology are one component 100% solids products featuring a dual curing system based on Meta-Tec® cross-linking chemistry and modified silane polymer moisture cure. These unique products are solvent and isocyanate free, contain no hazardous ingredients, are non-flammable, and very low odor. MS-Plus® adhesives have very low VOC and meet all federal, state and local governmental regulations for indoor air quality. MS-Plus® adhesives feature early green strength and build to very high strength, yet resilient, waterproof bonds.

ENVIROTEC® ADHESIVES – Envirotec® adhesives have long been recognized by installers as the highest quality flooring adhesives in the industry. These products were the first environmentally friendly adhesives produced in the United States.
Meta-Tec® technology, as the name implies, signifies a dramatic shift in the development of high performance adhesives that consists of the use of renewable bio-based oils and resins along with a unique cross-linking system that achieves high shear strength and a waterproof cured bond. MS-Plus® Advance™ Chemistry
TOUCHDOWN® SPECIALTY PRODUCTS – Touchdown Specialty adhesives are a group of products developed for a variety of installation requirements for floor covering accessories.
In 2008, Taylor again built on the continuing success of the Meta-Tec® line with the introduction of MS-Plus® Advance™ Wood Flooring Adhesive. This revolutionary technology combines the patented backbone of Meta-Tec® reactive adhesive chemistry without the potentially dangerous MDI/TDI isocyanate found in conventional legacy urethane adhesives but maintains the moisture cure functionality. This is the most technologically advanced wood flooring adhesive available worldwide. It is also Greenguard® certified.
1410 PLATINUM MAC SYSTEM – A Taylor/Koester co-branded product. This one coat, solvent-free, water-based two component epoxy system contains a unique combination of epoxy resins and other chemical substances, specifically designed for reduction of moisture vapor transmission and alkalinity in concrete floors. It is specially formulated to overcome poor long term adhesion properties of adhesive systems when curing in an environment of constant wetness, extreme alkalinity (pH 13-14) and water vapor drive.

The above moisture and pH recommendations are limited to concrete slabs that are less than 1 year old. Both Calcium Chloride (ASTM F-1869) and Relative Humidity (ASTM F-2170) tests must be performed on the slab in accordance with the respective ASTM instructions, and be at or below the maximum allowable level. The moisture levels must also indicate a declining trend in Moisture Vapor Transmission (MVT) and Relative Humidity (RH). If either test (MVT or RH) exceeds the maximum allowable moisture level, other moisture remediation systems must be utilized. The pH levels must be within the above-recommended ranges. All adhesive label and specification sheet instructions must be followed. Slabs older than one year; slabs exhibiting rising MVT and/or RH; and slabs with a previous history of a moisture related failure are excluded from the above recommendations. The flooring manufacturer’s moisture limitations supersede all other recommendations.
