SUITE MENUS 2016-2017

Welcome to the Sheffield Arena Hospitality and Catering Department. We have designed these menus to give you a choice of premium buffets, with the ability to enhance your choice with hot and cold additions. You can also pre order all drinks and snacks using the pre order forms at the end of this document. To ensure you get the best value from your selections, we recommend you take advantage of our Early Bird Offer. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW . . .  

ALL FOOD AND BEVERAGE ORDERS MUST BE PLACED NO LATER THAN TWELVE O’CLOCK MID-DAY, FIVE WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. ALL MENU SELECTIONS ARE FOR A MINIMUM OF SIX PEOPLE.

LEASE HOLDERS All lease holders will be invoiced after the event, 30 days payment terms. Alternatively credit card payments can be arranged prior to the event. SINGLE EVENT HIRE CUSTOMERS All food must be pre-paid prior to the event, by credit card. A standard bar will be placed in your suite unless otherwise instructed. To enable the bar to be opened, a pre-authorisation swipe of a credit or debit card will be taken on the event night and the bill settled at the end of the show. *Please note that when a pre-authorisation is taken on a card, the amount may be tagged on your account for up to 10 days.

   

A standard bar includes; 8 x soft drinks (500ml), 4 x still water (500ml), 1x white wine (70cl), 6 x lager (440ml), 6 x cider (500ml), 3 x Cava (200ml). We do not operate an invoice policy for single event hire. All menus will be arranged in the suite prior to your arrival. You may wish to consider individual waitress service (price upon application).

GENERAL NOTES ON SUITES & MENUS (Applicable to both Lease Holders and Single Event Hire Customers)  All prices are inclusive of VAT.  All our products may contain nuts or nut derivatives.  All fish dishes may contain bones  Sheffield Arena is a no smoking building. A pass-out system is in operation on concourse level. Please ask a member of staff on the night for details.  All products are subject to availability and where necessary an appropriate substitute will be found. It is venue policy that all public must vacate the building no later than 30 minutes after the main artist has left the stage. Therefore the bar will be closed 15 minutes prior to the end of the show on cash or card payments. FOOD Pick ‘n’ Mix Menu This menu is a buffet option which gives you the opportunity to select exactly what you and your guests require. Please choose 1 item from the ‘Hot Options’ section and 3 items from the ‘Chilled Options’ section. The options chosen will be for the whole party (Minimum order of 6). HOT OPTIONS (Select One) A. Indian Selection (v) A trio of handmade vegetable samosas, pakoras & onion bahjis all served with mini poppadum’s and Indian pickle tray. B. Chinese Selection Chinese curry samosas, Spring onion & ginger moneybags, Oriental spring rolls with sweet chilli dipping sauce. C. British Selection Mini traditional cottage pies, Lincolnshire sausage rolls with a fruit chutney, Vintage cheddar & caramelised onion flan. D. Italian Selection (v) Four cheese cannelloni in a tomato sauce & glazed with mozzarella, garlic dough balls with a balsamic vinegar dip, parmesan cheese straws with a creamy mayonnaise dip. (v) denotes suitable for vegetarians.

CHILLED OPTIONS (Select Three) E. Antipasti Sharing Platter (v) A selection of the finest olives, marinated vegetables, cheeses, breads and dips. F. Carved Whole Ciabattas Two whole ciabatta loafs – one filled with crisp bacon, beef tomatoes & dressed mixed leaves, and the other filled with English brie, tomatoes & mixed leaves. G. Ploughman’s Sharing Platter Bite size farmhouse cheeses, mini pork pies, mini savoury eggs & pickled vegetables. Served on black slate with homemade piccalilli and crisp breads. H. Continental Sharing Platter A selection of Europe’s finest cured meats & pâté served with pickled vegetables and ciabatta crispbreads. J. Greek Style Salad (v) A salad of dressed leaves, olives, plum tomatoes and feta cheese. K. Snack Buckets (v) Buckets of potato crisps and tortilla chips served with sour cream, salsa and barbeque sauce. L. Cheeseboard (v) An assortment of local and European cheeses served with chutneys & breads from the continent. M. Tower of Treats (v) Handmade tray bakes, mini brownies, rocky road, flapjacks, shortcakes and many more favourites. N. Profiteroles (v) Choux buns filled with crème patissiere and served with chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Gold Menu Early Bird Price per Head: £23.00 Full Price per Head: £26.00 Minimum Order: 6 People This menu is a hot buffet option. You can choose from the following: Meat & Potato Pie Traditional slow cooked steak with potatoes in a rich gravy, topped with a suet pastry crust. Served with minted mushy peas, pickled red cabbage and warm bread rolls. Chicken Balti Chunks of roasted chicken breast marinated with Indian spices and cooked in a medium strength creamy sauce of tomatoes, onions & red pepper. Served with basmati rice, naan bread, mini poppadums & pickle tray. Sweet Potato Curry (v) Chunky sweet potatoes cooked in a rich mildly spiced coconut sauce with chickpeas and spinach. Served with braised rice, garlic naan & mini poppadoms.

Desserts The following dessert option can be added to the Premium menu at a price of £4.50 per head (minimum of 6). DRINKS – NOTES ON PAYMENT TYPES When purchasing drinks on the night here are the options available:You can provide a credit/debit card for a preauthorisation amount of £200* to enable the bar to be opened in the suite. The bar can be replenished throughout the night by calling the catering team via the telephone in the suite. It would be advisable to settle the final bill with your debit/credit card and not cash. *Please note the preauthorisation amount may stay on your account for up to 10 days before removal dependant on which bank your card is assigned to. This only applies to final bills settled with cash and not the card used for the preauthorisation. Another option would be to simply ‘pay as you go’ paying cash, again the drinks can be ordered via the telephone in the suite. If you would prefer to ‘pre pay’ for a set amount of drinks this can be arranged with the hospitality team. Please note any unconsumed drinks must be taken away on the night as we are unable to refund after the event.

Lanson Black Label Brut Champagne is a respected Non-Vintage Brut champagne, universally appreciated for its classic, fresh and elegant style. It has hints of spring flowers with a touch of toast and honey, followed by strong fruit and balancing citrus flavours. Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label

Veuve Yellow Label is a beautifully balanced champagne. Made with mainly Pinot Noir, it has a firm structure, rounded with a touch of Pinot Meunier. Almost a third of the wine is Chardonnay, which gives elegance, finesse and balance. The strength of this golden-yellow wine is immediately pleasing to the nose while its complexity explodes on the palate. The initial notes of fruit are followed by more discreet aromas of brioche and vanilla when the wine is allowed to age in the bottle. Brut Yellow Label offers a perfect balance of finesse and forcefulness. Stylish and concentrated with a weight of pinot fruit.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRADING Sheffield International Venues Limited (SIV) trades under the following Terms and Conditions and all Customers should be conversant with them when placing orders. 1. 2. 3.

Credit Facilities are provided at the sole discretions of SIV. We reserve the right at all times, without giving reason or notice, to refuse or limit credit facilities. The placing of an order will amount to an acceptance of these conditions All orders must be accompanied by the name of person, or Title of Limited Company (complete with Company Registration Number) who is liable for the charges, plus name of person placing the order. Failure to provide this information could result in the order being refused. Where an Employee on behalf of his/her Employer places an order, the order is accepted in good faith that the Employee has full authorisation to do so. Unless SIV advises a Customer otherwise in writing, then terms are strictly payment within Thirty days of receipt of invoice. Amounts invoiced must be paid in full without any set-off or counter claim. Any Credit Limit is such that SIV may determine from time to time. If the limit is exceeded, any excess must be paid on demand. Failure to pay any due invoice within the above payment terms will result in credit arrangements being withdrawn. SIV reserves the right to charge interest at the rate of 15% per annum compound monthly on all overdue amounts. Disputes relating to items charged must be received within 7 days of the Event. Failure to comply will result in the items charged being due as per above terms. An appropriate credit will be given (if applicable) on the outcome of the said dispute. A refund will only be allowed where the account balance is in credit. We reserve the right to charge all costs incurred in obtaining payment if invoices are not paid in accordance with these terms. SIV will not be liable for any delay in performing or failure to perform its obligations as a result of fire, shortages of labour or goods supplies, strikes, industrial disputes or any other cause beyond the control of the Company. The Customer shall indemnify the SIV against all costs, claims, expenses, demands and liabilities incurred by or made against SIV as a result of the negligence or wilful default of the Customer or any of its guests. Cancellation of any food order must be received 7 working days prior to the Event. Failure to comply may result in a charge of 50% of the total cost being invoiced. In the event of no communication from you to the contrary, it will be taken that our Terms and Conditions are acceptable.
