The number o f e m i g r a n t s c l a i m e d by A u s t r a l i a i n 1852 was 95,000, m o s t m a k i n g f o r t h e V i c t o r i a n g o l d f i e l d s , t h o u g h some 9,OS J| w e n t t o l e w S o u t h V a l e s , C h a r l e s Bradman b e i n g one o f there. He s p e n t t h e r e s t o f h i s d a y s a New S o u t h Welshman.
