Fairmont Opens in San Diego Fairmont is delighted to announce that it has taken over management of San Diego’s top-rated hotel and will rebrand it as the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in early May 2015. The highly regarded resort was named TripAdvisor's #1 Luxury Hotel in California in 2014 and a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Hotel for the fourth consecutive year. Set amidst the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve in Southern California, the AAA Five-Diamond resort features 249 guestrooms, counting a high mix of luxurious suites, plus 8 two-story 4,500 square foot villas. The luxury property also includes a 21,000 square foot spa; 18-hole Tom-Fazio designed golf course and clubhouse; six food and beverage venues including Addison, the resort’s AAA Five Diamond rated signature restaurant; and a state-of-the-art fitness center; boutique shopping outlets; and 27,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 10,000 square foot ballroom, perfect for both large and small scale events. Fairmont Austin 2017 The Fairmont Austin, the first hotel providing direct access to the Austin Convention Center, is scheduled to open on June 3, 2017 and is now accepting group reservations. The $350 million concept has been carefully crafted by the project’s architect, Gensler Austin, to accommodate additional upscale features reflective of Fairmont’s luxury design and service aesthetics. Fairmont Austin broke ground on November 3, 2014 and, upon completion, will feature 1,066 rooms, including Fairmont Gold, to reflect that of the finest urban hotels, offering a level of service and amenities unparalleled in the city. The hotel will feature meeting and banqueting facilities that will provide the highest level of service paired with state of the art audio-visual facilities for a variety of meetings and social events. The meeting space will also offer the highest level of food & beverage service to establish the hotel as the premier location for incentive groups, special functions as well as local and visiting social events. Fairmont Pacific Rim to unveil internationally acclaimed art installation Even before you enter Fairmont Pacific Rim, you will be captivated by its exterior. Two pieces of art give the hotel its distinct character - one by architect and photographer Jim Cheng, creates the illusion of a forest scene on 9,500 square feet of texturally rich perforations; the other, by British artist Liam Gillick, displays a continuous thread of words that encircle the facade from floors five to 22 and ‘speaks’ to passersby who glance up. In March 2015, another installation of international acclaim, t h e ‘ 1 6 ’ , c r e a t e d b y B o c c i w a s u n v e i l e d at the hotel’s entrance. All speak to the artistry of the growing international collection – eclectic in nature – that is housed within the hotel. Fairmont Hotel Macdonald celebrates 100th anniversary The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald is Edmonton’s landmark, 4 diamond luxury hotel, and has been the setting for the city’s finest events and an iconic fixture of Edmonton’s skyline since July 5th, 1915. Celebrating its 100th year in 2015, the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald has been setting the bar for hotel excellence in Edmonton for 100 years and is poised to raise it as we enter the next 100. On top of the 100th year celebrations and associated schedule of events, the hotel will be “giving the gift of gold” shortly after its 100th birthday. The Hotel is undergoing an extensive renovation with the addition of a gold floor, a exclusive hotel within a hotel, as well as upgrades to all of its signature suites from August 2015 through November 2015. The renovations with tentatively be unveiled in December 2015. The City of Edmonton has designated the building as a Municipal Heritage Resource, with five areas included in the designation: the building exterior, the Confederation Lounge, the Lobby, the Wedgwood Room, and the Empire Ballroom. Fairmont Royal York continues room upgrades in advance of 2015 Pan American Games The Fairmont Royal York is continuing its unique renovation story with 510 guest rooms and suites being upgraded to luxury category status by early spring. By the summer of 2015, there will be another 800 rooms renovated, bringing modern sophistication, comfort and aesthetics to the historic landmark. The restoration of public areas is also underway. Fairmont Gold guest rooms and the Fairmont Gold Lounge will be reinvigorated with soft renovations including carpets, furniture and wallpaper, and every guest room will be equipped with a modern 42 inch HDTV. Additionally, Digital Way-Finding Signage will be installed throughout our hotel, providing our guests with directional ease throughout their stay. Fairmont Le Château Frontenac completes $75 million restoration Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, one of Canada’s most distinctive landmark hotels, has completed a delicate and thoughtfully driven $75 million, lobby-to-roof renovation. The hotel’s 611 guestrooms have been meticulously renovated to reflect the Château’s unique architecture. Additional renovations include Fairmont Gold, the Château’s boutique hotel product, which increased its room count from 46 to 60 and added additional space to the private lounge. The renovation of the main lobby highlights preserved signature pieces and the restoration of historic details. Large Italian blue onyx back lit panels, inspired by the St. Lawrence River, welcome guests in the reception area, and the Rose grand staircase boasts a custom 15foot chandelier made from slender pieces of glass modeled after the icicles that form during Quebec’s winters. The culinary experience has been transformed under Executive Chef Baptiste Peupion, introducing three new concepts. Champlain restaurant, the hotel’s signature dining space, highlights an innovative Québec cuisine by Chef Stéphane Modat. The 1608 Wine & Cheese Bar offers the largest variety of Québec cheeses, perfectly matured inside a dedicated cheese room, with an unparalleled selection of quality wines by the glass. Fairmont Washington expands bee program to include pollinator bee hotels As solitary bee populations continue to decline due to loss and fragmentation of habitat, Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown is adding a pollinator bee hotel to its collection of rooftop honeybee hives in spring 2015. Across North America, the overall number of pollinator bees has been on a steady decline for decades, which has impacted the health of ecosystems, the reproduction of the majority of flowering plants and pollination of food. This is an issue of great concern as bees

are responsible for pollinating more than 80 per cent of flowering plants, fruits and vegetables. Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown welcomed 105,000 Italian honeybees in May of 2009. The rooftop is now abuzz with three honey beehives and their residents. The bees enhance the hotel’s culinary program along with an interior courtyard garden that already provides fresh herbs and flowers, such as edible pansies. The addition of a pollinator bee hotel will assist with cross pollination of the flowers and trees in the courtyard and the surrounding Georgetown neighborhood.

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club unveils first phase of $90 million renovation Bermuda’s iconic Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, a Fairmont Managed Hotel, is undergoing a $90 million renovation and has recently unveiled the first phase of a three-year restoration including a dramatic infinity pool, state-of-the-art 59-berth marina, and harbor side 1609 Bar & Restaurant. The new Princess Marina is the only full-service marina in Bermuda, and can accommodate super yachts of 500 feet or more. The second phase of renovations to be completed in May 2015 includes the creation of a signature restaurant from celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, a major renovation of the Gazebo Wing guestrooms, remodeling of the central courtyard, and a facelift to The Heritage Court. Additionally, phase two renovations will feature a pop-up private Beach Club where guests of the hotel can enjoy a luxurious and secluded beach experience. The third and final phase of the renovation to take place in Winter 2015 will include the spa, gym, lobby, retail corridor and updates to the lap pool. Fairmont Southampton to complete $11.5 million renovation in May 2015 This winter Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda’s premier resort and meeting destination, continues its $11.5 million renovation of its guest rooms and suites, scheduled for completion in May 2015. The new guest rooms feature a warm chocolate brown and crisp white color scheme with pops of orange and turquoise. Suites will be light and bright creating a leisure resort feeling that is both contemporary and true to the spirit of Bermuda. The renovation follows recent enhancements to the resort’s restaurants, including the launch of The Newport, a Gastropub, The Dock at the Waterlot, and the repositioning of Ocean Club.

Boston’s Fairmont Copley Plaza to host monthly dinners in historic speakeasy Part speakeasy and part wine cellar, the 140 Club at Fairmont Copley Plaza is accessed through a century-old barrel vaulted staircase on the exterior of the hotel at 140 St. James Avenue. Guests descend this stairway to a little-used space that was once the Copenhagen Room, a restaurant that closed in the 1950s. The intimate dinner, hosted by Chef Laurent Poulain, is available to no more than 30 guests, seated at a long, candle-lit farmer’s table. The five-course meals are offered monthly* with a seasonal menu and wine pairing. Guests can be added to the invitation list by emailing [email protected]. In addition, the hotel will be offering a number of exclusive food and beverage experiences in 2015,

from its Seasonal Bacchanals, luxurious wine dinners hosted in the center of the grand lobby, to bubbles and bourbon tasting in Peacock Lounge, its new lobby bar.

Fairmont Pittsburgh to launch Andy Warhol Package in 2015 Since opening in 2010, Fairmont Pittsburgh has been proud to support the city’s vibrant arts community. The Andy Warhol Package, launching in January 2015, pays homage to Pittsburgh's very own pop art icon. The package includes tickets to The Andy Warhol Museum, as well as overnight accommodations, a Warhol-themed welcome amenity and cocktails at Andy’s Wine Bar (Fairmont’s lobby bar which was, of course, inspired by Warhol himself). Located just a short walk from Fairmont Pittsburgh, The Andy Warhol Museum features 900 paintings, over 1,000 published unique prints, 77 sculptures, 4,000 photographs and over 4,350 Warhol films and videos. The Warhol is one of the most comprehensive single-artist museums in the world. Guests will find pop art influences, as well as many of Warhol's ex-edition prints throughout the contemporary hotel. In fact, all of the artwork displayed throughout the Four Diamond property, including photographs, sculptures, paintings and hand-blown glass light fixtures created by local artists.

Fairmont San Francisco to complete $22 million renovation in April 2015 Following The Fairmont San Francisco’s stunning $22 million guest room renovation last spring, the iconic hotel is poised to become the go-to destination for the Bay Area’s most distinguished visitors in 2015. The landmark property’s five celebrated specialty suites will undergo custom enhancements to be completed by April 2015 to offer truly experiential suite stays. The Tony Bennett Suite, one of these inimitable abodes, boasts stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and pays homage to the music legend, who first performed “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” in the hotel’s Venetian Room. Fairmont is a homeaway-from home for Bennett, and the suite is even decorated with prints of landscapes painted by the multi-talented artist. Guests electing to purchase “The Tony Bennett Suite at The Fairmont San Francisco” package, will receive a giclée print of Bennett’s Golden Gate Bridge and “The Complete Collection” box set, along with a bottle of champagne and a heart-shaped dessert amenity. The starting rate for the package, a treat for all the senses, is $4,999 per night, subject to availability. Additional packages featuring the hotel’s other Specialty Suites will also be available for booking in early 2015.

Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui completes $70 million resort-wide renovation The all-suite and villa Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui announced the completion of an extensive resort-wide $70-million renovation project on December 15, 2014.

Improvements have touched every corner of the 22-acre Wailea property over the past three years, resulting in a luxurious vacation experience for guests in 2015. Highlights include the $5.1 million complete rebuild of Kō restaurant, which showcases sugarcane-era inspired cuisine made with island sourced ingredients. The $9 million Willow Stream Spa offers Hawaiian-inspired services and was named Hawaii’s Top Spa by Travel + Leisure Magazine following its 2014 opening. Each of the resort’s luxury one-bedroom suites, and 2- and 3-bedroom villas, has been completely renovated with contemporary island décor. In addition, all corridors, landscaping elevators and public areas, have been refurbished, including the new poolside restaurant and swim-up bar. Guests will experience all of the resort-wide improvements, as well as unique amenities such as authentic Hawaiian cultural experiences and ocean activities directly offshore Polo Beach.

The Plaza’s beloved Eloise celebrates 60 years of notoriety in 2015 In 2015, The Plaza, A Fairmont Managed Hotel’s will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Eloise, the hotel’s mischievous mascot since 1955. Eloise will rule The Plaza from the Suite’s 18th floor to the Eloise Shop on the hotel’s Concourse level. Fans can expect special experiences when staying in The Eloise Suite, a one-of-a-kind suite designed by celebrated fashion designer Betsey Johnson, as well as an inspired series of special events within The Eloise Shop.
