Standing over a sink of dirty dishes this evening I told myself that I was tired and I REALLY did not want to wash dishes for the second time that day! Did I stop to consider this? There are people, even in this country who do not have access to indoor plumbing. Considering that, I go on to remember those who do not have food to eat at their fingertips. If that’s not enough, consider this; I’m remembering a television program in which a child in Haiti is living in a poverty laden hovel. He lives with his old grandmother who is ill, and each day he walks for miles to a garbage dump to search for anything of use. What stands out the most about this sad story is that this child’s most prized possession is a couple of broken throw a ways from the dump. Consider this, those few meager items brought joy and gratitude to this precious little lamb. Okay, so what’s the solution for murmuring? Consider this; The hospitals and nursing homes are filled with occupants who do not have the activity of their limbs. A great many mental wards house minds that don’t have the power to make a decision concerning something as simple as washing a dish. Considering all of these things, the words of that great song come to mind, “Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the holy one, give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ His son”........ Dear Lord please forgive my murmuring and complaining. Thank you for food, clothing and a roof over my head. Thank you for the activity of my limbs. Than you for a sound mind. Most of all thank you for the indwelling of the precious Holy Ghost who reminds me to give thanks with a grateful heart! Thanks!

What do we do when our pain is so deep that we don’t feel like praying? Where do we go when we can’t see? Although we’re advised to praise our way through pain, what do we do when we don’t feel the praise? “A Song in the Night” will help anyone who feels life is no longer worth living or who suffers from such deep heartache that they cannot answer these questions. As long as we have life, Shannon knows, we have a chance to make things better. About the Author Shannon Carter currently lives in Buffalo, New York, where she serves as an Associate Minister, Choir Director and Praise and Worship Leader under her parents in ministry at the Ephesus Cathedral. Shannon’s greatest desire is always to be used by God to bring healing into the lives of hurting souls.

It’s not enough to just pray. It’s not enough to pray for a season. But, we must pray without ceasing. We must pray until we hear from Heaven. We must pray until we believe God will answer. We must pray until God does answer. We must continue in prayer until all Heaven and Earth move, until the sick are healed, until the blind receive sight, until the lame walk, until the deaf can hear, until those possessed with demons are set free. Fervent, effectual prayer in Faith brings answers from God.
