The result of this vision: The mylife™ OmniPod® System. A user-friendly Insulin Management System with just 2 parts that has been simplifying pump therapy since 2005. 7 years and tens of thousands of satisfied customers later we start the next chapter in making diabetes a smaller part of life. A Pod that is even 34% smaller, 16 % thinner and 25 % lighter – but still features a 200 units reservoir and automated cannula insertion. Easy to use Three simple steps to start insulin delivery The unique design of the mylife™ OmniPod® allows for fewer accessories and makes it much easier to prepare the system for use: it has the fewest steps to start insulin delivery.
Fill Fill the Pod with insulin (from 85 up to 200 units of rapid-acting U-100 insulin, e.g. NovoRapid®, Humalog® or Apidra®). The Pod automatically primes itself and performs a series of safety checks.
Patch Prepare infusion site. Apply Pod to the infusion site and run finger around the adhesive to ensure application.
Pump Press “Start” to activate virtually pain-free, automated insertion of the soft cannula and begin insulin delivery.
Virtually pain-free insertion Experience the advantages of an automated insertion The virtually pain-free, automated insertion ensures cannula inserts with consistent depth and angle. The cannula is inserted in the blink of an eye in just 0.005 seconds. It minimises errors and tissue damages and the needle is never visible.

Easy to learn and easy to teach Save time for you and your patients The Personal Diabetes Manager (PDM) guides the patient with easy step-by-step instructions through the Pod change and ensures all steps are completed. Due to the large colour screen the menu of the PDM is very simple, and patients can easily navigate themselves. This means less time for technical product training and more time for diabetes management.

No tubing – more flexibility Discreet and wearable in so many places The mylife™ OmniPod® has no tubing. There is no need for carrying a pump on a belt clip, in a small pouch under clothes or in a bra. No more snapped or twisted infusion sets.
A Pod can be worn wherever an injection would be possible with insulin pen treatment (MDI/ICT). And because it’s so small, it attracts less attention and provides a feeling of freedom your patient doesn’t get with a conventional pump.
No need to disconnect With the waterproof insulin patch pump In daily life quite a lot of pump users disconnect when showering, swimming, exercising or during intimate moments, leaving them with an interrupted basal insulin flow. Not anymore. The tubeless and waterproof Pod communicates via safe radio frequency with the PDM, so there is no need to disconnect. No matter what activities your patient chooses to do, there is no more hassle to disconnect and reconnect, giving your patients more time to live their lifes without interrupting the insulin delivery.
STUDY Truly continuous insulin infusion A prospective, open-label study, published in Diabetes Care, measured the impact of short-term infusion set disconnects on glucose levels. The conclusion: A “30-minute interruption of basal insulin infusion resulted in significant glucose elevation; ~1 mg/dL for each minute basal insulin infusion was interrupted.” 2 Because the Pod is worn directly on the skin, mylife™ OmniPod® is the world’s only truly continuous insulin delivery system; patients have no need to disconnect. Eco-Pod Program Environmentally friendly We care for and respect our environment. Therefore we designed a recycling program to have used Pods sent back to us and recycled in Switzerland. Patients collect their used Pods in a Recycling Box provided by Ypsomed and send them back. Our designated recycler in Switzerland takes the Pods completely apart and recycles their components. Please take part in our Eco-Pod Program by encouraging your patients to join and dispose of their Pods the right way.

The mylife™ OmniPod® is compatible with several independant data management programs.
