Ellis Fischel Cancer Center Registry Data 2012 Outcome Study Endometrial Cancer To satisfy Standard 1.12 of the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer, we performed an outcome study analyzing our cases of endometrial cancer at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center (EFCC) from 2000 to 2011. We compared our 2003 to 2005 Ellis Fischel data with available data to the National Cancer Data Base (NCDB).

Cases There were 170 cases of endometrial cancer at Ellis Fischel from 2006 to 2011. Of these cases, 33 percent were diagnosed and treated at Ellis Fischel, while 52 percent were diagnosed elsewhere and treated here. Fifteen percent of patients diagnosed at Ellis Fischel had all of their treatment elsewhere.

Age at diagnosis When compared with patients treated at other Missouri hospitals, patients treated for endometrial cancer at Ellis Fischel tended to be younger at diagnosis, with the peak age range from 50 to 59. The most represented age group for patients treated at other Missouri hospitals was from 60 to 69.
