Proof of Concept for SAP ERP on HANA Herausforderung ▶ Identifikation möglicher Prozess-Optimierungen basierend auf bekannten “pain points” in Zusammenarbeit mit den Fachbereichen ▶ Darstellung des Geschäftsnutzens und der Effizienz von HANA – basierend auf ausgewählten Geschäftsvorfällen (hier insbesondere PS)- und Nachweis der technischen Machbarkeit sowie der Migrationsrisiken
Lösung Siemens bietet mit dem neu gegründeten Sektor Infrastructure & Cities nachhaltige Technologien für urbane Ballungsräume und deren Infrastrukturen. Gebäude- und Sicherheitstechnik, Stromverteilung, Smart-Grid-Applikationen sowie Niederund Mittelspannungsprodukte. Der Sektor setzt sich aus bestehenden Geschäften der Sektoren Industry und Energy zusammen.

Solution ▶ A BW on HANA proof of concept project was executed by Atos The E-Plus Group, headquartered in Düsseldorf, is the third largest mobile network operator on customer basis in Germany and a 100 per cent subsidiary of the Dutch telecommunications group KPN. With revenues of €3.2 billion, the E-Plus Group is the biggest foreign subsidiary of KPN. The E-Plus Group has been active as a multi-brand company since 2005, appealing to a wide range of target groups.

Open Grid Europe
SAP BW on HANA – Proof of Concept Business Challenge ▶ Open Grid Europe (OGE) has to meet higher requirements towards the current SAP Business Intelligence (BI) architecture which demand an optimization of load processes due to legal constraints and increasing data volumes.
Solution
Open Grid Europe, with its head office in Essen, operates Germany's largest transportation network that is approx. 12,000 km in length. Our around 1,650 staff combine decades of experience in technology, operation and marketing.
▶ Evaluation of possible fields of application of an SAP BW on HANA system within the SAP BI landscape of OGE ▶ Support with the identification, composition and description of suitable scenarios ▶ Modeling of selected scenarios, with regard to a performance optimization through HANA technology, on Atos’ internal systems (SAP BW on HANA and SAP BW reference system with relational database) ▶ Measurement and analysis of processing speed on both systems ▶ Presentation of the resulting validations and recommendations in a PoCdocument (e. g. technical properties of HANA as well as comparison and interpretation of measurements) ▶ Execution of a HANA sizing analysis

Best Practice Finanzberichtswesen (1 von 3)
Die implementierte Lösung Die implementierte Lösung bestand in der Einführung eines Enterprise Data Warehouses auf Basis der innovativen In-Memory Technology SAP HANA. Es wurden die Summen- und Einzelbelege des Hauptbuchs (FI) und der Ergebnisrechnung (CO-PA) an das Data Warehouse (SAP BW powered by HANA) angebunden. Die Stammdaten aller beteiligten Systeme werden aus einer zentralen Stammdatenverwaltung gespeist (SAP MDG). Die Systeme FI und CO-PA wurden u.a. mittels des neuen Hauptbuches miteinander harmonisiert, so dass sichergestellt ist, dass Umsätze und Kosten von FI und CO-PA übereinstimmen.
