Compact and simple central battery system EBS Compact is the smallest EBS version, ETAP’s central battery system for emergency lighting. It is a compact and simple system to which all emergency lighting of the same fire compartment can be connected.
The advantages of a central battery system ... • Simply battery maintenance easily accessible central battery maintenance. A tour along the individual luminaires is not necessary. • Robust the luminaires themselves contain no batteries, which means they can also be used in areas with extreme temperatures, for instance. • Smart ETAP’s central battery systems give status notifications of the individual luminaires and make it easier to detect errors. They can also be integrated with other systems such as fire alarm installations and safety systems, without extra communication cabling of the luminaires.

EBS Compact is so light and small you can simply attach it to the wall. Because we developed the system for energy-efficient emergency lighting with LEDs, we were able to make it smaller. Thanks to the simple yet stylish design, the system does not necessarily have to be installed in a separate technical area. EBS Compact will not look out of place in office environment or corridors.

T 1 Power supply Luminaire circuit
EBS Compact works per fire compartment and thus follows the logic of the building. This makes it easy to plan. • Expensive and complex fire safe cabling is not necessary, because the cabling is per fire compartment (up to 1,500 m2). Per system four circuits are possible and up to 150W of luminaires can be connected with a one hour autonomy or up to 80W for three hours of autonomy. • EBS Compact is also an excellent solution for the expansion of existing buildings. • Every luminaire is standard equipped with FLEX technology to operate both maintained and not-maintained emergency lighting in one circuit. • All functions are available without requiring extra configuration. This also simplifies the planning.

Easy to install
• The entire EBS Compact only weighs 22 kg, 11 kg of which is the battery. The size is also very compact (400 x 400 x 115 mm). • Thanks to the special mounting bracket and back plate one technician is able to carry out the installation. • The 24V-battery is safe to touch and does not require any extra safety measures during installation. • Commissioning is not required: ETAP need not come on-site to commission the system.

• Detect errors in no time EBS Compact simplifies monitoring. We measure the effective light output of every connected luminaire and send it to the control unit in the system. EBS Compact immediately reports any faults. The pilot LED on the luminaires simplifies localising a defective luminaire. • Easily accessible EBS Compact centralises monitoring and battery maintenance per fire compartment in an easily accessible place and saves you a lot of time. • From your PC You can combine EBS Compact with ETAP Safety Manager (ESM), our central monitoring and operating system for emergency lighting. This allows you to follow all systems from your PC.
