Student Council Parents – Your child has expressed interest in running for a Student Council Officer Position in the Dripping Springs Middle School Student Council. Students will be required to attend meetings before school beginning at 8:15 am on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. On meeting days, students will be required to provide their own transportation to school if they take the bus. Student Council meetings will last until the 1st period bell (8:55 a.m.). If elected an officer, your child would be required to plan, participate and attend various functions before and after school to promote the student council and the student council sponsored projects. If, after election, your child can’t fulfill their specific duties and responsibilities, he/she will be asked to resign their position. In addition, he/she will be required to attend the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) State Conference on November 8th and 9th in San Marcos.
