To Add External Battery Packs 1. Connect the UPS to a PC using a USB or serial communication cable. Notes: • If the UPS supports both USB and serial communication, choose only one communication cable to connect the UPS to a PC. • If PowerAlert software is running, close the program.

2. Open the zip file. 3. Run the setup.exe installation file. 4. Launch the application by going to c:\program files\TrippLite\External Battery Pack Tool directory and double click the ebpcfg.exe file. 5. 10. Click Next after the discover process is complete and the UPS is identified. 11. Select the battery quantity and type of battery packs connected to the UPS. Note: If an error appears while using a USB connection to configure the number of external battery packs connected, the data validation process failed. When this happens, run the configuration through the UPS serial port.
