Welcome to Cardiff Anime & Gaming Con! Cardiff Anime & Gaming Con returns this 2016 – now three times bigger than before and with far too much content to even list! We have over 80 stalls of merchandise and art, an awesome lineup of stage events, panels on the 2nd stage, parties, roleplay/board gaming, video gaming and MUCH more! Of course let's not forget our Anime Chillout Area which shall show anime & Asian movies courtesy of MVM Entertainment & Crunchyroll. We will also have top talks on everything from gaming to anime to cosplay and comics! We continue to be the home of UK Cosplay, with many of the best UK cosplayers guesting at the event. The convention is filled with several hours of cosplay content from talks, panels and workshops! Make sure to check out the cosplay and arts talks area! We also encourage you to participate in our Sunday cosplay masquerade with the winner receiving a £100 cash prize! All those who come in the top three will also qualify for the UK Cosplay Championship Finals taking place at Birmingham Anime & Gaming Con this 1-2 October! But let's not forget the Gaming Tournaments bought to you in partnership with 8bitplanet and Talk and Surf! With £100 cash prizes for the Smash tournament and League of Legends, and a dozen other tournaments with prizes up for grabs, make sure not to miss out there! Make sure to pick a clan! The Vicious Vampires and the Wicked Werewolves are battling it out, take part, pick up a conbadge & get points for your clan!

Main Stage Event Signups Happen at the desk next to the door in the stage room (1 st floor). Tournament Signups take place for TCGing in the RPG/TCG room (2nd floor) and for VG happen in the Video Gaming Zones (3rd floor). Printed Conbadge or a t-shirt, are available for collection at the AL merchandise desk on the 2 nd floor in the RPG/TCG Room from 11am to 6pm. Stage Event Participation If you're in an stage event, please report in to the stage desk half an hour BEFORE hand to be briefed/sorted. Clan Badges Make sure to pick up your free clanbadge from the AL merchandise desk! Luggage dropped off at Registrations desk at the entrance, costs £1 an item. Please collect by 8pm. 8pm Onward Is 18+ Only for the evening parties.

Ground Floor – Trader Zones
- Reception/Registration – Located first to your left when you come in, this area is where you can ask questions/help at the registrations desk and check out the clan scoreboard. - Dealers & Artists - With some awesome merchandise up for grabs everything from manga to gaming to comics, geeky stuff and more! Almost 80 tables of goodies to check out!
First Floor – Stage & Party Zones
- Main Stage – From 11am through to late, there is a variety of talks & events as well as parties after 9pm. See timetable for more information. Come to the table next to stage to signup for the events including; Cosplay Masquerade, Talent Show and the Cosplay Auction.
Second Floor – Activity Zones - Cosplay Zone – Cosplayers come and chillout, grab a seat and be a part of the cosplay community. There is a cosplay photography area as well as a repair station. - Talks & Workshops – We have a variety of free cosplay/art talks, panels and workshops. Topics vary from cosplay to art to crafts and performance. - TCGing, Board Games & RPGs – Run by Cardiff BRAWL - many board games to check out and a wide variety of drop-in RPGs to participate in and TCG tournaments to enter! - Anime Watching Room – Come Chillout and watch the latest anime screenings courtesy of MVM Films and Crunchyroll. A great chance to add to your watch list!
Third Floor - Video Gaming Zones Set on the entire Third Floor. Almost a dozen tournaments with great prizes up for grabs! Make sure to enter the Smash & League of Legends tournaments on the Sunday for a chance to win £100 cash prizes! Retro to Modern Consoles Come drop in and play at any time. We have over 50 consoles from the 80s right through to modern day and 100s of games to check out. A great way to relax, kick back and have some fun with your friends! Saturday Tournaments - Mario Kart 8, Smash Melee, League of Legends 1v1, Rocket League, Smash4 WiiU 2v2 and Pokken Tournament. Winners will get a pair of full tickets each to the next Cardiff Anime and Gaming Con or Bristol worth £18 each. Sunday Tournaments - This is the big tournament day with £100 cash prizes up for grabs for Smash4 WiiU (with 8bitplanet) and the League of Legends 2v2 (with Talk and Surf). Other tournaments also include and Street Fighter V with winners getting a pair of full tickets each to the next Cardiff Anime and Gaming Con or Bristol worth £18 each. Other Tournaments Make sure to enter the Pokemon Go Contest (ask at the VG Desk for info) at anytime before 1pm Saturday (Winners judged Sunday at 4pm). Additionally there will be retro challenges throughout the event. Sign-Up Information - Sign-ups take place at the sign-ups desk in the Main Video Gaming Room next to the entrance. - We prefer you to bring your own controller - we will provide if not but can't guarantee quality - All sign-ups open at 11am for every tournament at the start of each day and close at 12:30pm for early tournaments and at 4:30pm for late tournaments. - For specific tournament rules ask our VG crew!
Saturday Highlights Lightsabre Combat Academy Q&A, 11am - LudoSport are the first and only international Academy for competitive Lightsabre combat. Come along and learn how you can get involved! Cosplay & Arts Talks - Throughout the event you can get hands on and learn new skills to improve your craft from some of the UK’s best cosplayers. This includes Cosplaying on a Budget, History of Manga Making, Begineers Guide to Photoshop, Costume Sewing and more! The Big Comics Debate, 1pm: Come join in the big debate – DC v Marvel, we re-enter the age old debate right now involving all the audience. Xinachu Performance Live, 1:30pm – Xina is an odottemita dancer who both performs at conventions and uploads to YouTube under the name 'Xinachu'. She is one of seveal J-Pop and Japanese inspired performance acts that we have for you! Make sure not to miss! Keep It Secret Raffle, 4:30pm: Do you feel lucky? Keep It Secret will be hosting their very own raffle with tonnes of top prizes to give away. Make sure to stop by their stall beforehand to pick up a ticket! Dub That Anime, 5pm: The aim of this event for those who have never seen it before is to dub a 30 second clip of our choice live on stage. The funnier the better. In fact - think Abridging! This can be done as an individual or group. Prizes from the goodie box for the winning team! Cosplay Auction, 6pm: A great way to meet new people with proceeds going to Epilepsy Action. All volunteers go up for bid to the audience, the highest bidder of each Cosplayer winning the company of that Cosplayer for an agreed amount of time and getting the pleasure and opportunity of making new friends! Big Geek Quiz, 7pm: Who will be the King of the Geeks? Test your geek knowledge in the big geek quiz. Featuring rounds on anime, gaming and music as well as some general knowledge. Get your friends together - the winning team will win £50! Parties, 9pm-End: It's party time with the Big Geek Party! We play your favourite tunes from Kyary, Perfume and Psy as well as more mainstream songs.
Sunday Highlights Cosplay Blind Date, 12:30pm – We will be picking volunteers from the audience to participate in Cosplay Blind Date! We match make on stage your favourite characters – tune in for a lotta laughs and maybe even some love! Noodlecup Cosplay Performance, 2pm - A cosplayer and dancer who won the talent competition at the last Cardiff Anime and Gaming Con as well as other events. She makes her performer debut at CAGC! Cosplay Masquerade, 3pm: Enter our cosplay contest for fun and showcase your beautiful creations for a chance to win our grand prize of £100 and to qualify for the Cosplay Championship finals in October in Birmingham! Whovians Q&A, 4:30pm - An original comedy-drama web series by Watcher Productions which follows the lives of four massive Doctor Who fans. The cast will be answering your questions in a special Q&A! Plushie Making Workshop, 5pm: A chance to make your own plushie to take home with you. There will be a variety of designs to choose from. Talent Show, 5pm: Forget X-Factor or The Voice. AnimeLeague’s Got Talent is where it is at! Can you sing or dance? Perhaps you have a more unique talent. Whatever it is, enter and show it off! You could be the next big thing, with previous winners now regular performers at the convention. The winner gets a £50 prize! Clan Battle Showdown, 6pm: You have been earning points for your chosen clan all weekend. With over 300 points up for grabs in this event, this showdown is the decider in who will emerge victorious! Come along and help them win the war! Karaoke, 7pm-10pm: Karaoke will take place upstairs in the talks room for both evenings! So come along and sing to your heart's content! Glowstick Rave & Farewell Party, 10pm: It's the final party of the con, make sure not to miss this as we break out the glowsticks, play all your favourite tunes and see off the event in style!
The Clan Battle!
When you enter CAGC, you pick a free conbadge to wear signifying which clan you're in (ask for one at the registrations desk). You can then earn points for them over the convention to help them towards victory! Points are calculated by who wins events, who helps & so forth!
Clan Points & The Scoring System You can earn points for your clan by (a) winning a tournament/event, (b) staffing for the event or (c) special events. When you win an event or tournament, you will be handed stickers with points on them. You take these stickers and stick them on to the clan of your choice's tally chart at registrations. You can also go there to see which clan is winning. - Small events such as TCG tournaments give 15 points to 1st, 10 points to 2nd and 5 points to 3rd. - Medium events which are on stage such as Dub That Anime and the big VG tournaments give 30 points to 1st, 20 points to 2nd and 10 points to 3rd. - Large events such as the Cosplay Masquerade, Big Geek Quiz, Talent Show and so forth give 45 points to 1st, 30 points to 2nd and 15 points to 3rd. - Every crew member who crews all their days (and turns up on time in the morning!) gets 10 points per day. - The Clan Battle event on the Sunday awards a massive bonus of 300 points to the winner of it in a high stakes winner takes all battle. Make sure not to miss this, it could make a big difference!
