D-ILA Home Theater Projector Initial Setup Manual Ver. 1.0 for Using the Remote Control App (D-ILA Remote 2) This manual describes initial setup to remote control JVC D-ILA projector (hereinafter referred to as the projector) using smartphones and tablets.
Compatible projectors DLA-X900R, DLA-X700R, DLA-X500R, DLA-RS67, DLA-RS57, DLA-RS49, DLA-RS6710, DLA-RS4910, DLA-XC7880R, DLA-XC5880R
Operating Conditions The following conditions are necessary to remote control the projector using smartphones and tablets. 䡵 Android • Compatible device: Android devices • Compatible OS: Android OS 4.0 or later * In order to operate the projector, it is necessary to first install an exclusive app on your terminal device. The exclusive application is available free of charge. * Operability of all functions is not guaranteed. • A wireless LAN network environment connected with the projector via wired LAN.
Requirements • Compatible projector • Compatible device • Wireless LAN router* (hereinafter referred to as router), and LAN cable that connects the projector and router. * A router with DHCP server function.

1 Setting up a device A In Settings, switch “ON” Wi-Fi.

B Inside Choose a Network, look for the router in use and select it. C Connection is complete when the Wi-Fi strength indicator appears at the top next to the signal strength indicator.

Refer to the user manual of router in use on how to select a router, and connection between the router and your device. Connection is not possible using 3G or LTE network.

A Open the projector menu. Go to “Function” → “Network”, and turn “ON” the “DHCP Client”. B Select “YES” under “Set” → “Apply Network Setting?” C An IP address will be automatically assigned when network setup is successfully achieved. This completes network setup of the projector.

3 Installation and setup of app A Download the app. * Please refer to the support page on our website prior to installing the app, which can be downloaded from the Play Store. Search with keywords “D-ILA Remote 2”. B Run the app, and select your preferred language from the “Language Selection” screen that is displayed. * More language selections will be available in future updates. The selectable languages in this initial release will be English and Japanese. C When the installation is complete, the “IP Address” setting screen appears. App

D Enter the “IP Address” displayed in “Function” → “Network” of the projector’s menu, then press “OK”. 䡵 Note Communications cannot be achieved when the projector's main power is off with ECO Mode setting on. To turn on the power via the app, switch off the ECO mode.

4 Demo mode You can experience operating this app. A Select “Setting” --> “Demo Mode” at the bottom of the screen.
B Select “On” and click the “Set” button.
C Returns to the Home screen under power off condition. Press the “Power On” button to operate using demo mode. * During Demo mode, “DEMO” blinks on the upper right corner of the screen.
* You cannot operate the projector using the app when in the demo mode. For actual operation, turn off the demo mode.

[Menu] Displays the status of the projector.
For turning on/off the power of the projector and switching the input.
Displays the current picture mode. Allows you to set the optimal image quality automatically simply by specifying the image type and preferred color tone etc.
Identifies the problem and guides you through appropriate countermeasures. Allows you to read, save and write all the settings of the projector. Screen that links the basic operations and various setting menus to the projector. 䡵 Notes Specifications, UI menu, and design are subject change without notice.
