Convertible Bump Case User’s Guide I N S T R U C T I O N S This case is designed to provide a compact, elegant solution for using and transporting your Fujitsu Tablet PC. The convertible bump case is designed so that you can use your system either in notebook or tablet configuration.

It is important to always latch the display to the base of the system when in tablet made or in closed notebook mode. Be sure to press the latch button prior to attempting to lift the display from the keyboard. Failure to do so could result in damage to the latch.

To open the case, unzip the wraparound zipper (Figure 2) and lift the cover. Open the case so that it lies flat.

Before installing the system into the case, remove the pen and pen tether from the system. Re-attach the pen and pen tether to one of the Drings adjacent to the handle, and store the pen in the elastic pen holder ((Figure 3).

Notebook Configuration To use your system in notebook configuration: 1. Press the latch button and open your Tablet PC so that the display is in notebook configuration. 2. Place the system into the case and tuck the front corners of the keyboard under the clear corner straps. (Figure 4) 3. Pull the top of the case flat against the back of the display and tuck the top corners of the display under the display straps. (Figure 5) Tablet Configuration To use your Tablet PC in tablet configuration: 1.

With your Tablet PC in notebook configuration (as outlined above), fold the top of the case down so the display can rotate without interference. Clear Corner Strap

Rotate the screen (Figure 6) and tuck the corners of the rotated display under the display straps. Before laying the back of the display against the keyboard, be sure to press the latch attachment so that it swivels to the back of the display, allowing it to latch to the system.

Close the case cover and zip up the wraparound zipper.

Undo the Velcro strip #1 securing the protective LCD cover and flip the cover over the back of the case (Figure 7).

Undo the small cover on the back of the case (at the end of the hand strap) to expose the Velcro strip.

6.

Fold the cover three times and secure it with Velcro strip #2 (Figure 7) to stow it out of the way.

Shoulder Strap There are D-rings on all four corners of the case. To attach the shoulder strap, open the spring-loaded clips on the end of the strap, and attach them to two of the D-rings. The Drings can also be used as an attachment point for a pen tether. (Figure 2 shows the location of the D-rings.) Caring for the Case The convertible bump case is made of rugged materials, and is designed to withstand daily use. Treat the case as you would a quality briefcase or purse. Occasionally, the case may become soiled. To clean it, brush it with a short-bristled brush. If necessary, use a clean cloth and warm soapy water to wash the soiled area. Do not submerge the case in water, as it may become warped.
