Dear Principal,

Climate Change Teacher Professional Development Programme The World Wide Fund for Nature Hong Kong (WWF) cooperates with Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC), Environmental Protection Department (EPD) and The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) to organize the new climate change education initiative - Climate Change Teacher Professional Development Programme (the Programme) in 2010 to 2011. I cordially invite your school to be the partner school of the captioned programme. Climate Change is a global and urgent challenge on Earth and it has made severe impact in society, economy and environment. WWF believes educating younger generations and providing related multiplier training for teachers are the long term solution to the problems originated from this challenge. To enhance teaching resources development on climate change issue for Liberal Studies under the New Senior Secondary (NSS) Curriculum, WWF, ECC, EPD and HSBC jointly organize the Programme, and invite 60 local secondary schools to join and provide them with climate change themed educational support and training. WWF sincerely invites your school to be our partner school. A briefing session will also be organized on 14 Jan 2011 to give a clearer picture on the programme content and logistic to interested schools, as well as to share the most up-to-date information of climate change issue. Enclosed please find the Programme summary (Attachment 1) and the Programme application form (Attachment 2), as well as Briefing session information and reply slip (Attachment 3). Please reply by filling in the respective attachments and return to us by fax at 2651-0276.
