American Classic Cocktails

The cocktail recently celebrated its 200th birthday, and its history is rooted in American lore from the early part of the 19th century, until it spread to this side of the Atlantic in the early 20th century. It is from this era that we draw our classic range. Elegance and sophistication were the order of the day, and nothing epitomised it more than sipping decadently from a Martini glass. Defined flavours, clean and simple blends of three or four ingredients were shaken and stirred to create something sublime. These offerings have stood the test of time and are now accepted as a truly definitive drinking experience. An experience we ask you to indulge in at PIMA.

Manhattan
One for the Lads. Stella Artois syrup is stirred with a double shot of Buffalo Trace bourbon and served short with a shot of Stella on the side.
Created for, Lady Randolph Churchill (Winston’s mother) in the early 1870s. She requested a special cocktail be created for a banquet she had organised for a presidential candidate. The result was the Manhattan. So named because it quickly became the most popular drink on the island. PIMA’s version is made by stirring Buffalo Trace Bourbon with sweet vermouth and a dash of bitters. Garnished with a cherry. Perfect.
Helter Skelter Created by PIMA expert, Adam Mclellan. Mango infused bourbon is shaken with hazelnut and passion fruit.

Strawberry Fields PIMA’s biggest selling cocktail. Fresh strawberries are shaken with apple, cranberry and strawberry liquor then topped up with Champagne.
Royal Bramble Plymouth Gin shaken with fresh lemon and sugar. Topped with Champagne and laced with a rich blackberry liquor.

Black Forest Martini Rich black forest fruits are laced with vodka, hazelnut liquor and cream to tempt you with this wonderfully moreish dessert cocktail.
French Martini Vodka, Chambord and pineapple juice are shaken to create a fruity version of the classic.

Getting the right mix of sweet and sour in a cocktail has been an art form for as long as the cocktail itself. The Sour cocktail is that art form at its most simple. Lemon juice and syrup shaken with whatever spirit you like. At PIMA we are offering you the classics as well as a few of our own thrown in for good measure.
Kraken and Marmalade Sour Spiced Kraken Rum and orange marmalade are shaken with lemon and syrup to create a very unique Sour.
Pear and Elderflower Sour Pear and elderflower liquors are blended together to bring you this floral and summery Sour.
New Yorker Sour A classic Whiskey Sour made with grenadine syrup. Thick and sweet. A taste of the Big Apple.
CLASSIC COCKTAILS

Cosmopolitan The ladies’ favourite. Citrus vodka is mixed with Cointreau, lime and cranberry juice. Served straight up, with a flamed orange.
Mojito Havana Club is met with fresh mint and lime and soda. A refreshing summer classic that needs no introduction.
PIMA Colada The official beverage of Puerto Rico since 1978! White Rum, coconut milk and pineapple should bring a little sunshine to the docks.
Long Island Iced Tea Vodka, gin, tequila, rum and cointreau are mixed with Coca-Cola and lemon juice. Packs a punch.
PIMA Sour The same blend of spirits as our PIMA Royale. Equal parts Cointreau and Amaretto are mixed to form a very elegant Sour.
Whiskey Sour The classic Sour. Dating back to 1872. Needs no further introduction to cocktail lovers.
Amaretto Sour Italian almond liquor is mixed with the classic ingredients to create a Sour for those with a sweet tooth.
Midori Sour
Margarita The world’s best loved Tequila cocktail. PIMA’s version is made with Gold Tequila, Cointreau and fresh lime. Over ice, or straight up with a salt rim.
Bloody Mary Belvedere Bloody Mary Vodka is gently stirred with tomato juice, Worcester sauce, lemon juice and Tobasco sauce. This can be as fiery or mild as you like. Finished off with a dash of red wine for flavour.
Midori Melon Liquor is added to the recipe to bring you a bright and refreshing version of the classic.
