COPRO

COPRO CERTIFICATION

The standard reference for the manhole covers is the European standard EN-124. It has been given the denomination NBN-EN-124 in Belgium and as another example NF-EN-124 in France, both retaining the same content. The manhole covers made by Fondatel and according to the EN-124 standard are certified by the Belgian entity COPRO.

• COPRO has been designated by the IBN (Belgian Institute for Standardization) and by the Belgian Ministry of Infrastructure to do this certification in Belgium. • COPRO is accredited under the standard EN-45011 by the BELAC-agency. The last mentioned is part of a European network called E.A. (European Accreditation), just like COFRAC (French example), which accredits the French certification entities. The certified COPRO references are clearly marked and the marking COPRO appears in a very readable way on the produced parts. A copy of the company’s certificate and / or the technical drawing of the product concerned will also be provided on simple request.

SYMBOLS OF RESISTANCE Class A15 minimum Areas likely to be used exclusively by pedestrians and cyclists.

Class B125 minimum Sidewalks, pedestrian zones and similar areas, parking lots and parking garages for cars. Class C250 minimum For devices installed in the area of street gutters along the sidewalk, which, measured from the edge, extends up to 0,5m on the runway, and 0,2m on the sidewalk.

Class D400 minimum Traffic roads, areas in surrounding concrete and parking areas for all types of vehicles. Class D400 minimum E600 recommended Roads with high traffic density. Class E600 minimum Areas with very high axleloads, i.e. docks, airfields. Class F900 minimum Areas with extremely high duties / axleloads, such as airfields.

SYMBOL OF ACCES FOR DISABLED This symbol is allocated to the grates which are designed to prevent any ball with a diameter of more then 20 mm to go trough the different slits or openings. The conformity of these products is certified by the COPRO-agency.

CAST IRON QUALITY The products mentioned in this catalogue, without indication of another cast iron quality, are made of ductile iron in accordance with class EN-GJS-500-7. The products made of grey iron are listed as such and are fabricated in accordance with class EN-GJL-200. PAGE 2

HERMELOCK has developed a worldwide patented system for producing synthetic covers, complying with the same load capacity compared to normally used covers. The composition, however, consists of composite materials, which makes the products extremely light compared to their volume. As a result, they are very easy to handle and can be placed by 1 person; moreover, they boast the quality of hermetically sealing. Especially when smell is concerned, here we have an extra advantage. Applications vary from industry, water sector, petroleum industry up to food industry. The covers can be fit into concrete, asphalt, green areas, …Each day we learn from our customers about new application possibilities.

Covers with frames over 10 cm adjustable in height are extremely suitable to be placed on top of round synthetic reservoirs made of PVC or HDPE, with diameters of: 315mm, 400mm and 630 mm.
