f/2.0 28mm Wide-angle 3.8x Optical Zoom Lens with Optical Image Stabilizer IXUS 300 HS features a high quality f/2.0 bright lens, which can gather dim light even in demanding lighting situations, enabling faster shutter speeds to eliminate blur images caused by handshaking. Coupled with the “HS SYSTEM”’s greater signal to noise ratio, sharpness and quality of image is further enhanced. The f/2.0 bright lens also allows users to capture shallow depth of field by adjusting the aperture value for creative photographic expression. New Continuous “High-speed Burst Mode” IXUS 300 HS also features the new “High-speed Burst mode”, which allows users to capture approx 8.4 frames per second# with high speed continuous shooting. It also supports approx 3.7 frames per second at 10-megapixel, shooting high quality photo without missing the greatest expressions. First IXUS Model with Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority Shooting Modes To expand the creativity of users, Aperture priority (Av) and Shutter priority (Tv) shooting modes are firstly introduced to IXUS 300 HS. Smart Shutter Mode with Face, Wink and Smile Self-Timer IXUS 300 HS is equipped with the Smart Shutter Mode. Face Self-Timer can automatically detect every single face in the frame, the self-timer will be switched on after the new face enters the frame. Focus and exposure will be adjusted and the shutter will be released after two seconds. It becomes handy easy now to take beautiful photos in front of a desired background, and people’s face will always be in sharp focus. The Wink and Smile Self-Timer are capable of detecting small changes of facial expression like blinked eyes and smiles, and automatically operating the shutter for shooting.
