C ONTACT I NFORMATION

University of California, Los Angeles 3125 Campbell Hall, Box 951543 Los Angeles, CA 90095-1543

R ESEARCH I NTERESTS

I have strong research background in theoretical linguistics, namely syntax and prosody, and also in using experimental tests and empirical data. More specifically, I am interested in the syntax of binding and reflexivity, intonational phonology, the syntax-prosody interface, verbal structure, case, and Japanese linguistics. Recent research topics include: • Empirical Basis of a New Binding Theory • Argument Structure and the Syntax-Semantics Interface • Unification of All Grammatical Voices Under VoiceP • The Syntax and Prosody of Emphatic Reflexives • DP-internal Syntax of Austronesian languages • Re-Exploring the Tonal Inventory of English
