BULLETIN MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE DUE NOW OVERDUE Fees will increase to $15 for single membership and to $18 for family membership. For Members who receive their Bulletin via Australia Post there will be a surcharge of $10 per year to help cover costs. Please notify Secretary if you wish to receive Bulletin via email. You may pay by Direct Debit to Manly Warringah Orchid Society Account No. 00906498, BSB 062 155 and please leave your name for reference and please send your payment confirmation to The Secretary. Payments can also be made at the member’s meeting or post a cheque.

SUPPER ROSTER. This month our volunteers are Ros Mathews for sandwiches and Dylan for something sweet. Thank you to last month’s volunteers and members who brought in something extra. GUEST SPEAKER. There will be no guest speaker. Cary and Guy will be doing dividing and potting demonstrations and please bring in any plants you would like to have advice on. AUCTION REMINDER. This event is only three months away so start getting those plants ready. You are welcome to send in early lists and also request a list if you wish to participate.

DEE WHY GRAND SPRING SHOW 15,16,17 September. This show is on before our September meeting so reminding members to bring in your plants and hopefully we will have more in flower than at the Winter Show. Your help is required again for the three days of the show and also need volunteers to do the night shift to 12 midnight. Set up is from 5pm with judging at 7pm. PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Congratulations to everyone involved with our Orchids by the Sea show. I think everyone can agree that it was one of our biggest and best yet and a fantastic success for our 10th anniversary of the show. Special congratulations to Angie for her grand champion, a fantastic specimen

that was awarded very highly by the judges. Thank you to everyone that came and helped over the course of the show and setting up on the Thursday. I look forward to seeing you all at the St. Ives Orchid Fair this weekend, thank you in advance to those that are bringing plants for our display and helping us to set up. Dylan LIBRARY. The library still operates so please make use of this facility as we have some very good books. SALES TABLE. Honest Gary has pots in all sizes and also plant labels.
