If a holiday falls on your recycling collection day, your recycling will be collected on the day after the holiday. The holidays affected by this change shall be: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

CURBSIDE PICK-UP All Commingled Recyclables together in one container; All paper items together in a separate container will continue to be picked up at the curb on your regular recycling day. Commingled Recyclables:

shall include plastic bottles, bi-metal steel cans, glass bottles and jars, aluminum cans, juice and milk containers/cartons, all Styrofoam, all other plastics, pots & pans. These items can all be placed into the same container.

Mixed Paper/Newspaper:

shall consist of corrugated cardboard, newspaper, magazines, junk mail, telephone books, paperback books, chipboard, office paper, school paper and brown paper bags. These items can all be placed together.

STYROFOAM: cups, egg cartons and packing materials to be placed in with your Commingled Recyclables. PLASTIC BAGS, BUBBLE WRAP, SHRINK WRAP, ANY TYPE OF PLASTIC: yogurt, cake, cookie and take-out containers to be placed in with your Commingled Recyclables RIGID PLASTICS: molded lawn furniture, buckets and toys to be placed in with your Commingled Recyclables.

CURBSIDE PICK-UP - Continued POTS & PANS: Can now all be placed in with your Commingled Recyclables. JUICE & MILK CONTAINERS/CARTONS: Please place containers/cartons in with your Commingled Recyclables.

CORRUGATED CARDBOARD: Must be recycled at the curb on your regular recycling day or brought to the Recycling Center and placed into the cardboard compactor.

AT THE RECYCLING CENTER: If you bring your recyclables to the Recycling Center, it is requested that you continue to separate your aluminum cans and deposit them in their own separate container. All other items mentioned above can still be commingled and placed in the commingled container. Cardboard shall still be separated and placed in the cardboard compactor. All other mixed newspaper shall be placed in the mixed newspaper container. COMPUTERS & ELECTRONICS RECYCLING: There will be a container at the Recycling Center to deposit all old electronics, such as: computers, monitors, televisions, CD & DVD players, stereo equipment, copiers, printers, faxes, radios, telephones, typewriters, etc., or basically anything with a plug. Electronics WILL NOT be picked up with your regular household garbage and must be brought to the Recycling Center.

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED AT THE RECYCLING DROP-OFF CENTER: -GRASS & BRUSH (A pickup schedule will be sent in the spring of 2015). -HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (Passaic County will announce their collection days/locations for 2015 at a later date). -CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION DEBRIS. (Including, but not limited to: wood, doors, asphalt shingles, concrete, etc.) These items must be recycled by the contractor who does the work. If homeowner does the work call numbers listed above for information. -TIRES. Tires are not accepted at the Recycling Center. REMEMBER RECYCLING IS THE LAW ! ! !
