SGD La Granja lleva más de 250 años fabricando vidrio, transformando las materias primas en piezas de formas atrevidas y llenas de luz. Desde las hermosas lámparas que sirvieron para adornar los salones del Palacio de La Granja, fabricadas a mediados del siglo XVIII, hasta las complicadas piezas que constituyen el techo de la biblioteca del moderno Museo Reina Sofía de Madrid, muchos hombres y mujeres han trabajado con nosotros durante generaciones con un objetivo inalterado: calidad e innovación. El vidrio prensado tiene una larga tradición en SGD La Granja. En sus orígenes de un modo casi artesanal para fabricar bloques sencillos, baldosas, tejas de vidrio y ceniceros, y desde hace varias décadas con los más modernos y automatizados medios de producción. SGD La Granja, único fabricante nacional, ha estado siempre a la vanguardia tecnológica, lo que nos permite poner a su disposición toda nuestra experiencia de cara al desarrollo futuro de su negocio.

SGD La Granja has been making glass for more than 250 years, transforming the raw materials into pieces of various forms full of light. From the beautiful lamps that served to decorate the halls of the Royal Palace of La Granja, made about the middle of the XVIII century, to the complicated pieces that constitute the ceiling of the library of the modern Museum Reina Sofía in Madrid, many men and women have been working with us throughout generations with a permanent objective: quality and innovation. The pressed glass has a long tradition in SGD La Granja. In its origins, solid blocks, pavers, roof tiles and ashtrays were made in an artisan way, contrasting with the modern and automated production machines used in the last decades. SGD La Granja, the only Glass Block manufacturer in Spain, has always been at the forefront of technology, placing at your disposal all our experience in order to face your future business development.

2. Cortar el bastidor según las dimensiones previstas a inglete (45º), desmembrando un trozo del ala de los perfiles que forman uno de los ángulos superiores, de manera que permita la introducción de la última hilada de moldeados. Estas alas deberán guardarse para pegarlas una vez finalizada la construcción del tabique. Cut the frame according to the dimensions at 45º angle, dismounting a piece of the framework of the profiles that form one of the superior angles, so that it allows the placing of the last row of glass blocks. PUESTA EN OBRA ELEMENTOS QUE COMPONEN EL SISTEMA TABILUZ Cuñas Serán de madera, sección rectangular, con ancho de 35 mm, espesores variables de 5 a 10 mm, y longitud aproximadamente igual a las juntas verticales. Puntos de fijación La fijación del bastidor a la obra se efectuará mediante tornillos y tacos de plástico. Los tornillos serán de cabeza plana Ø 4 a 5 mm y longitud variable según la holgura entre el bastidor y la obra, colocándose a tresbolillo cada 45 cm aproximadamente. Dimensiones de utilización Dimensiones del hueco de la obra en función del número y tipo de moldeados. La dimensión en el recuadro indica el lado del moldeado al que está referida la dimensión del hueco.

Proyectos de diseños propios Projects of original designs

SGD La Granja promueve y colabora en proyectos y diseños de nueva creación, haciéndolos posible gracias a un espíritu de innovación, un alto nivel tecnológico, y a un gran equipo de profesionales. Valga de ejemplo la pieza de vidrio utilizada en la ampliación del Museo Nacional de Arte Contemporáneo Reina Sofía, cuyo diseño fue encomendado al prestigioso arquitecto Jean Nouvel y ejecutado por Bellapart Engineering. SGD La Granja fabricó las piezas de vidrio en forma de cubo, utilizados para formar parte del techo de su nueva biblioteca. Estos cubos, cuya transparencia permite el paso de la luz, se integran en una bóveda de acero y vidrio, que hace las funciones de una lámpara natural. Una de las características más destacadas de estas piezas es el texturado piramidal de su base, encargado de dispersar los rayos de luz que pasan por su interior. Nuestra participación en el proyecto ha abarcado desde el inicio del diseño hasta su industrialización, trabajando con las herramientas de diseño más avanzadas y con unos medios de producción específicos para llevar a cabo el proyecto.

SGD La Granja promotes and collaborates in projects and designs of new creation, making them possible thanks to an innovation spirit, a high technological level and a great team of professionals. Is worth mentioning the piece of glass used in the extension of the National Museum of Contemporary Art Reina Sofía, whose design was entrusted to the prestigious architect Jean Nouvel and it was carried out by Bellapart Ingineering. SGD La Granja manufactured pieces of cube-shaped glass, used to comprise the ceiling of their new library. These cubes, whose transparency allows the light to pass through, are integrated in a vault of steel and glass, that works as a natural lamp. One of the most outstanding characteristics of these pieces is the pyramidshape texture of its base, being in charge of dispersing the light rays that pass through their interior. Our involvement in the project goes from the beginning of the design to its industrialization, working with the best design tools and with specific production machinery to carry out the project.

Piezas de vidrio translúcido, macizas o huecas, que se obtienen por el prensado de una masa fundida de vidrio en unos moldes de los que toman su forma. Se destinan a la construcción de pisables y paramentos verticales. Estos bloques de vidrio pueden ser:

Pieces of clear glass, solid or hollow, that are obtained by pressing of a fused mass of glass in moulds from which they take their form. They are used as floors and wall constructions. These can be:

- Simples: constan de un solo elemento macizo que ha sido constituido en el molde.

- Simple: They consist of a single solid element that has been constituted in a mould.

- Dobles: formados por dos elementos independientes que, soldados entre sí, dan lugar a una sola pieza con cámara de aire.

- Double hollow: Formed by two independent elements that, welded to each other, form a single piece with an air pocket inside.

Principios generales de colocación

General principles of installation

Los tabiques deberán ir independientes de la obra, mediante una junta de dilatación perimentral. Los redondos de acero (armadura) no deberán estar en contacto con el vidrio, y además, deberán ir totalmente cubiertos por el hormigón. Los tabiques para moldeados simples no podrán ser en ninguna de sus dimensiones superior a 3 m, ni exceder de 6 m2. Los tabiques para moldeados dobles no podrán ser en ninguna de sus dimensiones superior a 5 m, ni exceder de 20 m2 de superficie. Pasando de estas dimensiones en ambos casos, deberán fraccionarse en varios paneles, introduciéndose entre ellos juntas de dilatación y estanqueidad.

The partition walls should be independent of the brickwork, by means of a surrounding expansion joint. The steel armour should not be in contact with the glass, and, also, it should be completely covered by concrete. The partitions for single glass blocks will not be in any form superior in dimensions to 3 m, neither exceed 6 m2. The partitions for double hollow glass blocks will not be in any of their dimensions superior to 5 m. Neither should they exceed 20 m² in surface. Passing of these dimensions should be fractioned in several panels, introducing expansion joints and watertight.
