The young Yorkshireman Henry Buck opened a small shirt-making shop on Queen’s Walk in Melbourne in August 1890. The business grew and flourished and 123 years later has become one of the world’s great gentlemen’s outfitters with seven stores in Australia (as well as our online store), still famous for exceptional quality, particular style and uncompromising customer service. THE HENRY BUCKS SHIRT Henry Buck cut his first HB shirt in 1890 following the fine heritage of London’s West End shirt-making and we honour this tradition to this day. Made to order suits, jackets and trousers can be tailored for you by Canali in Italy at a fraction above our normal retail price and made from a large selection of fine fabrics. A great way to order a beautiful Canali suit in your own choice of fabric and style. BESPOKE TAILORING

We provide complimentary repairs and maintenance to you, the original purchaser, for the reasonable lifetime of your suit. For instance we will replace a button, fix a seam, let the suit out or take it up to a size depending on your lifestyle. A quick top quality shoe repair and restoration at competitive prices. Within reason we will restore shoes to perfect condition, re-sole and re-heel and do any other repairs. Again bring them in and we’ll have them ready to walk out in a week. Now that we have an association with Beggar Man Thief in our Collins Street store we have been able to enlarge on this service to include comprehensive maintenance and care of your shoes and a shoe shine whenever you call by.

We deliver anywhere in Australia or the world at a very reasonable and competitive rate. Within the close city area in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide we will deliver free of charge by courier. You may also arrange to have your purchases waiting for you at our Qantas domestic terminal shop next to the Business and First Class lounge in Melbourne.

In Cromwell Street, Collingwood, you’ll find our smart little outlet store open 6 days a week between 10 and 3 for most of the year. Here you’ll find odd sizes in good stock going for silly prices. Always worth a visit. Just park your car in our car park and come in for a coffee. We close during our seasonal sales and reopen, restocked following the sale with further marked down prices.

We have re-merchandised and re-designed our Adelaide store on North Terrace to carry a combination of best selling favourites, some new deliveries and some marked down stock throughout the year.
