CONNEC TING FROM THE AIRPORT From Terminal 1 – Lindbergh baggage claim area, take the elevator or escalator to the lower level. Follow the Ground Transportation signs to the tram, which will take you to the Transit Center. Blue Line service to downtown Minneapolis or Mall of America: Take the escalator down one level from the tram and buy a rail ticket at the ticket machine. Continue down another level to the rail platform. Trains operate roughly every 10–15 minutes during most of the day. Travel time to Mall of America is 11 minutes, to downtown Minneapolis is 25 minutes. At Downtown East Station, you can transfer to a METRO Green Line train for service to the University of Minnesota and downtown St. Paul.

Bus service to downtown St. Paul: Board Route 54 at Gate 4 at the Transit Center, up one level from the tram. Service operates roughly every 15 minutes. Travel time is 20 minutes. From Terminal 2 – Humphrey, follow the signs to the Transit Station.

C A S H FA R E S Fares range from $1.75 to $3 depending on time of travel and type of service. On trains, buy a ticket from machines at rail stations. Tickets are valid for bus and METRO train rides for 2½ hours. Credit cards are accepted and change is available. Keep your ticket as proof of fare payment to police officers who patrol trains. On buses, place dollar bills or coins in the farebox. Sorry, change is not available. To transfer to another bus or train, ask for a transfer, which is valid for bus and METRO Line rides for 2½ hours.

FA R E O P T I O N S All are available on the bus and at the rail ticket machine. Downtown Zone Ride within the Minneapolis or St. Paul Downtown Zones for only 50¢ at any time. (Transfers are not available.) Day Pass Get unlimited rides on buses and METRO Lines for a full 24 hours. All for $6. Visitor Pass For just $4.50, this pass includes an entire day’s worth of rides (not valid on Northstar or express buses). All fares subject to change.
