1. The Main Page The main page is your starting point in the application. Available features vary by OEM.

Click links in the left pane to navigate to parts pages, service manuals, and operator manuals. For details, see “Navigate to Information” on page 6. To identify a button or icon, position the mouse pointer over the button or icon to display a tooltip.

Toolbar

Click toolbar icons to use major application features. Available icons vary by OEM. For details, see “The Toolbar” on page 4.

Quick Search

Make a quick search by model, part number, description, product ID, or VIN. Or search the price file. Available searches vary by OEM. For details, see “Make a Quick Search” on page 5.

Links

Click Links to open a Web site linked by the OEM. This link is not used by all OEMs.

Preferences

Click Preferences to set your user interface preferences and view the user’s guide.

Close

Click Close to sign off the Web site. Click the navigation Add Note icon (

) to link your own note to the selected model.

Click the License Icon ( ) to view the end-user license agreement. Click the Technical Support icon ( or ) to view technical support information and the user’s guide. Click the Help icon ( ) to view online help for the main page. Part Info

Click the Part Info link to display information for a part number.

2. The Toolbar The toolbar allows you to use major application features. The toolbar displays different combinations of icons, depending on the features used by your OEM.

Icon

How to Use Click the Main Page icon ( ) to return to the main page from any other page. Click the Bulletins icon ( ) to view and search for bulletins. Click the Advanced Search icon ( ) to make an advanced search for parts and service information. Click the Notes icon ( ) to view, modify, and delete user notes. Click the BOM icon ( ) to retrieve bill of materials (BOM) information from a serial number. Click the Performance Parts icon ( ) to find equivalent parts for OEM part numbers, CCN/CPN part numbers, and serial numbers.

Click the Rapid Parts icon ( or ) to use OEM part numbers to find matching reference part numbers and to enter manufacturer, model, and part category information to find reference and OEM part numbers. Click the Transaction List icon ( ) to view and open picklists, quotes, and orders.

3. Make a Quick Search The Quick Search feature allows you to type minimal search criteria and click a button to find information quickly. Available search types vary by OEM version of the application. Some versions include a Region list box above the Quick Search text box. Selecting a region narrows a search.

Selecting PID (product identification) displays two text boxes, separated by a dash. Type the prefix in the first box, press the Tab key, and type the sequence number in the second box.

1. Select a search type from the Quick Search list box: Model, Part Number, Part Description, Price File, PID, VIN, or All. 2. If applicable, select a region. 3. In the Quick Search text box, type your search criteria. 4. Click the Search icon ( ). Links to applicable models are displayed. If you select the Price File search type, prices are displayed. 5. Click a link in the search results. A list of parts pages containing the model is displayed. When only one model applies, the list of parts pages is displayed automatically.
