BREAD FOR EACH OTHER! From President Elta Fae Marlor! What does it mean to be fed and nourished by Jesus, who is able to sustain us and fill our deepest hungers? How can we be bread for each other and for a hungry world?" Meditating on the questions posed at the Spring Conference can help us do the will of God in our lives. When our National Chaplain, The Reverend Ella Frank, spoke at the April Conference, she asked us to think how we can be bread for each other. She concluded her talk with: "One thing we must remember is that we are all called to do many things in our lives. Sometimes that can be overwhelming if we do not stay anchored to the Rock that

cannot move. No matter what we do we must stay connected with God so He can give us what we need. In all situations we should ask God what He wants us to do. His answer may be totally different than what we think we should be doing. Ask God for guidance and direction." Bread for each other...called to do many things...overwhelming if not anchored...ask what He wants...answer may be different from what we think...ask for guidance and direction. These 'sound bites' from Ella fit what many of us have experienced over the past year. Last January we sent a letter to each Contact offering our Executive's prayer support. Each congregation is concerned about the same issues of low attendance, bills to pay, providing for clergy, unused church property and others. All of our congregations have challenges. In the spirit of Reconciliation

When others pray for us and with us, we are guided and strengthened to face our challenges. Let us use this opportunity to lean on each other and learn how God provides. We are not alone; Christ is with us. As companions on the same journey, we hope you will join us in the following prayer for our Diocesan congregations:

plan to see:

Summer Blessings Dear Lord! Thank you for the many blessings and resources that you have bestowed upon us. Holy Spirit, open our eyes, our hearts and our minds to recognize those resources given to our congregation in this community. Lord, give us the vision to see what we do have instead of focusing on what we do not. Help us to see Your Loving Presence in each person You put into our path. We know You are with us always, and we can depend on You to supply our needs and guide us into Your Loving Presence. Amen.

LET GOD ILLUMINE YOUR PATHWAY — WEAR SUNGLASSES IF NECESSARY ! O Lord, how grateful I am that your Word can illuminate even the darkest of situations. When I don't know which way to turn, I read your Word, and my way becomes evident. When I'm feeling down and I don't know why, I listen to your Word, and soon my heart is lifted up; and when I'm confused by what is right and true, I can always count on your Word to illumine me. Thank you for shining your light into the world through your Holy Word, Lord. I would be wandering in the dark without it. Devotions — Heather Bergen Taken from: Daily Inspirations from Psalms.

GIANT GARAGE SALE A SUCCESS! St James Anglican Church, Endeavour, in the Lintlaw/Endeavour Parish, realized a profit of well over $15,000 from its Church Mouse Garage Sale on June 12 – 13, 2015. The event started in 1998 when the church was in need of finances to install running water and a bathroom in the church. For three years it was held in a farm machine shed, now it is held in a rink. People near and far contribute antiques, tools, clothing, furniture, decorative items, dishes, bedding, etc. Add a silent auction, a bake sale, hamburgers, homemade pie, and they have a winner. Left to right: Rev. Dr. Jessica Latshaw, Edie Belesky, Many community people join church members in and Darlene Medlang help oversee the sale. the preparation work. On Friday the sale opens with prayer. Saturday all items are half price. Sunday afternoon, after church and a meal, you can fill a box for a toonie. Some left-over articles go to Value Village, Yorkton, some go to places with particular needs, and many boxes of children’s clothing have been donated to Queen Elizabeth School, Saskatoon. As God uses it to bless Endeavour, may He also continue to use it to bless others. Elaine Hrycenko
